Help exporting data from a Testcase step.

Hi all.

Is there anyway of exporting the contents generated within a testcase step?

I am currently having to go through testcase step and taking a screen print and pasting it in a word doccument to allow for another colleage to use for reconcilliation.

I've attached a screen print of what I mean

There MUST be an easier way!?!

    Hi!

    you mean you would like to automatically export these values after each run? Or have an "Export" button in the toolbar that you can use when desired?

    Ideally, I'd like a job that exported the values during each run but the export button option would still be a better alternative to what I am currently having to do..

    Hi!

    In that case please consider creating a groovy script step after this "Run TestCase" that writes the property values to a file for you. I'll add the export button as a feature request internally!

    Ok, so I just add another step after the testcase step that exports the results?

    I'll have a go at that! thanks very much

    Thanks, I'm going to need it, this is will be my first attempt at Groovy!

    Hi!

    ok.. I've added a "saveTo" method to the RunTestCase Step (in the upcoming nightly build), so your script could be as short as

    testRunner.testCase.testSteps["name of run testcase step"].saveTo( "myfilename.txt" )

    So the script will be something like:

    testRunner.testCase.testSteps["name of run testcase step"]savePropertiesToFile( ..filename.. )
