Getting Hermes Setup for Validating JMS messages

Question

I am new to using JMS and Hermes. Can someone point me to...or provide the basics for validating a jms message. I'm using ActiveMQ. I've looked through the forum and not found anything helpful....at this point I'm fishing for some basic help. I think it's the HermesJMS that is confusing to me... I figured out how to start it up, but I don't know how to point it to my ActiveMQ messages.

Please Please Please ...someone help.  I really just need to validate a message made it to ActiveMQ.  I can't find anything to help me out.  Smartbear..Google or otherwise
