Defining functions / procedures in SoapUI?

Hi,

I'm using Eclipse with the SoapUI plugin.

Although I have a test suite defined for each webservice function, some common validation is required in each of the test steps.

Is it possible to define a validation function that can be called from each of the test cases?

If so, could you provide a sample code chunk please?
