DataGen Persistence with Command Line Tool

I am currently using the trial version of SOAPUI Pro, so I cannot post this question under the SOAPUI Pro Support Board, even though it concerns SOAPUI Pro. The DataGen section of the SOAPUI website says, "the Persist options stores the last number issued upon saving the project. This will allow for the sequence to continue if the previous value required (Note: Projects are not saved after running through the command-line tools). Does anyone know how to get this same functionality of persistence when using the command-line tools?
