Can SOAPUI monitor a webservice?

I have installed SoapUI and what I would really like was for S.UI to monitor my webservice executed from my jsp (struts) portlet when called.

I really need to see the xml sent via a request object.

Can SoapUI do that? I have a LOT of fields and it would take a very long time to enter all these values to test it up against the xsd.
