ASP.NET postbacks ...how to create a test case?
I have seen this issue posed here several times over the past few years, with numerous people replying with 'me too', but no one from SmartBear ever actually addressing or even acknowledging the issue, and no one from the community seeming to have an answer:
How do I get soapUI to recognize/register/work with postback calls on ASP.NET web applications? I am trying to create test cases for an ASP.NET site that uses numerous asynchronous postbacks on its pages, and these do not work at all with soapUI. Nothing happens, nothing at all. Is this product simply not compatible with ASP.NET sites that use this? Familiar terms associated with this: __EVENTTARGET, __LASTFOCUS, __VIEWSTATE
Has anyone gotten this to work? If not, is there any intention of including this functionality? It seems like with ASP.NET being a high-demand skill, this compatibility would be a high priority. I really, really want to use soapUI over jMeter, but so far, I've only been able to get jMeter to work with the site I'm testing (albeit with a good amount of config work).
