[LoadUIWeb] HTTPS Load Testing

Hello.

I am testing web pages which connect through the HTTPS protocol. I have a problem.

When I record scenario in IE and run test for 10 users everething is ok. For 50 users I have an errors "
A timeout occurred while waiting for a response from the server". Trying record this scenario in Firefox and run test I have same errors for 100 users. But I also have to run test for 150 and 200 users.

What can be a reason of these errors?
  • In most cases the reason is a tested web server. The only question here is why this may be different for Firefox and IE. Have you checked both scenarios multiply times? Single test should not be a point for consideration. The answer may also be in your tested application. It may use different pages for IE and Firefox. Can you check this up?

Is your testing site behind the firewall or available to public access? For public sites I may review your scenario and give you more precise answer.

checked both scenarios multiply times and tested application don't use different pages for IE and Firefox.

Unfortunatelly testing site behind the firewall.

I have one more question. When I am testing this site which connect through the HTTP protocol, tests for 100, 150, 200 users pass successfully. What can be a reason of these difference?
  • SSL encryption costs server resources. You can monitor your server resources during the test to check if server is really overloaded.
