Word/Office AddIns

Tried to get this running with a Microsoft Word addin but was not successful. The addin was written using .NET 4.0 and Visual Studio. I would like to profile the application without running the VS.NET debugger.  I set the location of the .NET dll's and I also input winword.exe as the start up program but I am getting an exception so I think I'm doing it wrong.... anybody successful with this? If so, it would be great to get a few pointers!   Thanks!
