Timeout when testing NT service

Hello,

I'm trying to use allocation profiler on my NT service. The file is about 17MB, with debug information. When I try to start profiler, I get following popup:



 Cannot start profiling in Service mode:

Error: timeout



Then instrumenting ....exe appears



How can I increase timeout value for starting the service?

    Hi Piotr,





    Could you please clarify whether the profiling starts? Does the only problem you face is that you see an odd error message when you start profiling?

    No,



    I'm unable to profile the service that way. However I can do it by manual start of the service and then by attaching to existing process. But I'm not sure if it's good way to check for memory leaks. I think it's possible to skip something important.

    Hi Piotr,





    AQtime waits for a service to start within 20 seconds. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the timeout value. I have registered your request as a suggestion in our database.







    I can suggest that you try to shorten the start time of the service or attach to the service instead of starting it from the tool.
