AQTime 7 Trial fails to start

It shows this error message on start:

-----------------------

Cannot connect to the 'Sentinel HASP License Manager' service on your computer.

Possible solutions:

 * Make sure that the 'Sentinel HASP License Manager' service is running on your computer.

Click Help to learn more about the suggested solutions.

Click Try Again to check the license again.

Click Activate to activate a new Named User license on this PC (make sure you have a license key).

Click Exit to close the application.

-----------------------

When I'm trying to start Sentinel HASP service manually, it starts and then terminates immediately. Event log shows this: The Sentinel HASP License Manager service terminated unexpectedly

Win7 Ultimate x64

Any ideas?

  • Hello Andrei,

    Please try doing the following:

    - pull out the network cable from your PC;

    - start the service;

    - start AQtime and activate your key.

    Does this work?

    This didn't work, but I've reinstalled AQTime after reboot and that helped. However, I still can't activate it. Getting this message:

    ---------------------------

    License Activation Error

    ---------------------------

    Failed to send data to AutomatedQA's license activation server.

    Please make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Error code: hasp_act_activate, 3010

    Click Help for solutions.

    I tried turning off firewall, but the problem persists.

  • Hello Andrei,

    It looks like there are some connectivity problems. Please check your firewall settings.

    Also, there is a known problem with activating licenses when you are connected to the Internet through a password-protected proxy server.

    The problem will be fixed in the next TestComplete update. As for now, you can use the manual activation procedure.

    Please send a request to the Support Team to get the instructions.

    Ok, I'll try. However, my connection is ok and firewall is off. This must be a bug.

  • Hello Andrei,

    It looks like the problem has something to do with the web site connectivity/load issues we were having yesterday.

    Nice to hear this works for you now.
