Access Violation when profile XE4 and XE5 Win32 application

I am using a trial version of AQTime 8.10.772.7 on Windows 8.1 x64.



I build a very simple VCL Win32 application and try to launch it from AQTime using Performance Profiler.  I also turn off "Use extended debugger for managed code".  I encounrter these errors and the profiling application doesn't start:




First chance exception 0xC0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at 0x30896A37, read of address 0x03180000 at 0x30896A37 (in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\AQtime 8\Bin\Extensions\aqNatProf.dll) 336 09:39:22:102




Second chance exception 0xC0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at 0x30896A37, read of address 0x03180000 at 0x30896A37 (in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\AQtime 8\Bin\Extensions\aqNatProf.dll) 336 09:39:22:200

    Hi Chee,


     


    AQtime 8.10 doesn't officially support Windows 8.1. That's why, we cannot guarantee that the product will work without any issues on this OS.


    I suggest that you evaluate AQtime on Windows 8.0 or Windows 7.
