New API to retrieve custom fields details, including list of dropdown values
As a customer working on automating the creation of Zephyr projects and onboarding new users, I need the ability to retrieve all details for a specific custom field. This should include all custom field details (as below) as well as the list of values for fields like picklist and multi-select. Currently, user groups in Zephyr can be imported and synced from LDAP groups and/or managed at the instance level. However, as an admin at a company where groups are managed at the project level and may have up to 100 users each, I'd like to allow Project Admins to create, own and manage user groups for their projects. As potential solutions, we'd be happy with either the ability to create/manage groups (similar to dashboards), or the ability to structure groups under each project. Currently, creating a new test case requires two steps: Create the test case - which simply creates an untitled test case then update the test case - which opens a new test case and lets the user update the details As a user creating multiple test cases, I'd like to be able to create it in one go, similar to the Jira issue creation pop-up. Hierarchy of the test case is not displayed when the test case is opened from the search results. It is very difficult to identify the actual source of the test case, and its huge manual effort to navigate to particular folder .enhance this feature to display all defects

Presently, Zephyr Enterprise doesn't offer to create custom fields and custom status in the native defect management workflow. As a Test Manager or admin, I need to have an ability to add custom columns and custom status values in the native defect management workflow to manage the process effectively and configure ZE more specific to company standards and compliance processes.
Ability to export Zephyr Enterprise Test Case ID from Jira Cloud when both are integrated
Links to case ID:#00544511 When raising a defect in Zephyr Enterprise 7.15.1, the Jira "Create New Issue" screen is launched and the user can raise the defect in Jira as usual and then link the Jira Issue ID back to the Zephyr test case. Once the user has established this link and on opening the Jira issue, I can see the integration passes the Zephyr Test Case ID through. I'd like to be able to Export this as a data element out of Jira, but it seems not to persist in the Jira database (as is not a default or Custom field).Get Traceable Path from Root - Search for test case in Repo, and locate which folder it is in
Need to be able to search for a particular test case by name or by ID in the Test Repository within the "Folder" view. Currently, it only shows the folder names while using the filter. We need to be able to tell in a Release folder with let's say 100 subfolders where a particular test case resides (which exact subfolder), either by test case ID or by the test case name. Hello team, I have opened a case #00542720 regarding the below requirement. Since this feature is NOT yet available in Zephyr, so I have been advised to open an enhancement request for the same. Here is the requirement. Please advise. Use Case/Requirement We have a requirement from users where they want to fetch Zephyr TC Id via JQL Query in JIRA to generate traceability matrix, where they can track TC across all User Stories for the project. This type of feature is already available in JIRA, but NOT in Zephyr. As per the existing functionality in Zephyr, once testcases are mapped to the User Story/Bug, they are visible in JIRA. Zephyr Plugin also helps to create BDD style testcases in Zephyr & provides feature to track testcases in traceability section. But these features are limited to the User Story, NOT at Project level. Currently, Zephyr Enterprise imports test automation results from TestComplete via the jUnit XML generated by TestComplete. However, the JUnit XML has limitations and thus does not include all the details available in TestComplete's native results files (MHT files). This is regarding TestComplete integration from Zephyr, we create a batch file of the TestComplete project (Keeping tags in the Execution Plan). And we are able to trigger the scripts from Zephyr successfully. However, we need the option to pass the Tags for execution from Zephyr. Capability to move test cases within a release and to a different release is needed
To accomplish the goal of moving tests within a release or to a different release: 1) Consider how the test cases are selected for Movement. Selections are made in the Test Execution section (either the “all executions tab” or the “my execution tab” or the planning folder or through JQL) The selectoin must allow multiple selections at one time. Individually (but can be multiple selections) or By Folder or By Phase or By Cycle 2) Consider what needs to be moved with the Test Case: Execution Results Execution-Defect Mappings Execution Comments Execution Attachments Step Execution Results Step Execution Comments Step Execution Attachments 3) Consider how test cases move within a release. Selected test cases can be dragged and dropped to the chosen Cycle or Phase or Folder within that release. 4) Consider how test cases move across releases. It would require a pop-up box selection for Cycle, Phases, and Folder. Cycle and phases are required, but folder would be optional. The capability to create a new cycle and phase would be included. It would be nice to retain requirements mapping when moving to a new release.
Reset Password on Login Page
Resetting a user's password when using Zephyr's log in authentication currently requires an admin to manually reset. This should be something a user can do and receive and email/reset link etc. like most password reset flows do. Please implement a better password reset flow.Allow Images in Test Case Imports
Test case imports fail when attempting to import a file with images in the test data field. Images are useful for showing what UI needs to look like etc. Adding images manually after upload is too time consuming and not simple as there is no ability to copy + paste into the field either.Need to capture user that created and updates a Release
For improved tracking a audit purposes we need to capture when a user creates a new Release, updates an existing Release or deletes a Release. Currently, there is no way in the database or logs to find this information. We need two areas to capture this information: In the "releases" table, capture the user that initially created the Release. Also, display this information in the Manage Release dialog in the UI of Zephyr Enterprise. In the "audit_logs" table capture when a Release is created, updated or deleted with the user that performed the associated action. The following gadgets on Dashboard do not allow us to report on a specific cycle and this is required to allow for better reporting to senior stakeholders. One of the KPIs for QA teams' success is Defect Leakage (i.e. What percentage of defects reach production envs vs. are discovered in lower envs). I'm surprise this isn't already a feature of Zephyr to be honest. We would need some field to specify environment while creating defects in Zephyr, and an associated dashboard or report for QA managers to review. As a manager/executive working with a product composed of multiple teams each using a separate project in Zephyr for their testing needs, I need the ability to select multiple projects for all gadgets (at least all test execution metrics gadgets) so that I can create an overall report at this 'Multi-Project/Product' level. If user wants to generate the Execution Backlog report with Zephyr tag filter criteria user, user can only select one project with one release at once. It would be helpful for us to have some additional fields available from our Jira tickets in our Zephyr requirements (e.g., sprint, priority) This would be particularly helpful if they could appear in the requirements grid in Zephyr Enterprise. It would be awesome if you could make some standard Jira fields available as separate fields that could be shown in the requirements grid. For example, I'd love to be able to see the sprint from Jira in the requirements grid. Alternatively, the option to create a custom field in Zephyr and "map" it to a Jira field so it could be automatically updated from Jira and appear in the requirements grid in Zephyr would also be great (especially if it included the ability to map to custom Jira fields too.) We used create a new release for each project/ enhancement under applications present in Zephyr. After completion of UAT testing and before presenting to CAB team or Audit, we want to integrate functionality with which we would be able to disable Zephyr Project Release so that people should not update any details in Test design / Test execution including evidence after CAB change approval. We also found an option of hiding the Releases to Project Manager Role and the same release can only be view by Project Manager. But hiding project release will not help as release should be visible with testing team for future reference. Or else can you please check if we can provide release wise read-only access to users? Request you to consider this on priority.
Default Jira project in the Defect Tracking App
When you link Jira to Zephyr, at a project level you have the option of creating a default project. At the defect create state this default project can be seen however in the defect tracking app when searching projects you have to manually select the project rather than use the defaultCustomizable Environment field at 'Add New Cycle' form
I would prefer to restrict the environments the teams use when creating a test cycle. Currently it is a text field and teams are defining as per their convenience which is causing issue in generating the report. It would be a good option to have a custom environment field which has predefined list of values to select from when creating the test cycle and it should be a mandatory field.
