3D image in desktop application is not rendering during testing with Azure DevOps agent
We are using TestComplete with the option of ImageBased tests on a desktop application with 3D images into it (via OpenGL). We recorded a test and when we run it locally it works fine. When we then execute the test on a agent through Azure DevOps release pipeline, via an Agent and TestExecute on the VM, the test fails. Also the 3D image does not show up in the screenshots in the logging (everything else works fine). When we setup a remote desktop connection to that specific machine it also shows the 3D part (after we changed some settings). If we leave the Remote desktop session open, the 3D image show up nicely.412Views0likes1CommentTestComplete: Store name mapping images in a different folder
When using Name mapping it builds up a library of all objects that were found. For each and every item it stores a picture in the Images folder. We find these images usefull when debugging a failed test, for this reason we want to keep those images. Currently they are situated in the TestComplete folder, but they take up a large portion of MBs (42) vs 7MB for the rest of the TestComplete project. Therefor we want to be able to store them in a different folder outside the TestComplete project (relatively to the project) so that it is not taken into account. When it is saved outside the TestComplete folder we can copy the folder (without the images) and publish it as an artifact in our Release pipeline in Azure DevOps. (7 MBs instead of 42, saves time and disk space). Is this possible? I only saw an option to turn the saving of the images on and off and store them in a different format. Hi Marsha, Sorry for the late response. It took me this long, because I was trying to figure what you meant with "Let's see your connection string for Azure Devops", and I still don't have a clue, but maybe that is also part of my problem. I included a screenshot and I am hoping that is what you meant #fingerscrossed2.4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Upload test results in a different format than .mht when using Azure DevOps
Marsha, Thanks for your reply. I've already looked into that option and it does create a test report in a different file format. However if I run it in the pipeline it only uploads the .mht file and not the zipped .html file which I generated. And I see no possibility to change the extension of the .mht.2.4KViews0likes4CommentsUpload test results in a different format than .mht when using Azure DevOps
We are using Azure DevOps for our pipeline. In this pipeline we kick off TestComplete and the test results are than attached as a .mht file to the test run. Since .mht files can only be opened by Internet Explorer and since Internet Explorer is deprecated: is there a way to store the files in a different format, e.g. zipped .html or zipped. xml and have them attachted to the test run?Solved2.5KViews0likes6Comments
