Re: Zephyr squad test details have disappeared
KGosling Do you know if you have the TEST issue type registered for this project. We recently had an issue where the TEST issue type was un-registered for all projects as part of an update that we pushed. If this is something that you are experiencing can you please reach out to our support who will work with you to manually reset the TEST issue type so that the functionality is restored. Given the recent incident i suspect this might be the root cause, if not the support team should be able to help anyway.850Views0likes1CommentRe: TestsCases and related zephyr actions missing
Hi There was a new version of Zephyr that was released (8.0.1) over the weekend (10/9-10/10) which is what has caused this issue. We have already identified a root cause and will be deploying a fix so that it does not impact any more customers. Root Cause We had earlier (couple of weeks back) fixed an issue with some language settings that would check and automatically create TEST issue type for different languages. During 8.0.1 release since there were Atlassian descriptor changes this effectively re-installed the application which triggered the language change to kick in and it has incorrectly modified the registered TEST issue type. This has not resulted in any data loss and all the data is still available. Next Steps If you/your instance has been impacted, please reach out to our support so that we can manually reset your TEST ID which should bring your tests back and should restore full functionality.4KViews0likes5CommentsRe: [Inside Zephyr] Zephyr Squad Roadmap Revealed by Engineering Manager
pgrzegorskiThanks for your feedback. The reason its just like any other issue type is deliberate and like i alluded to the fact that we wanted to make Zephyr as intuitive as possible for end users. Its good to hear that our users are seeing the value in keeping the UX simple and in line with Jira UI, would love to hear more if there are other use cases that you like and found useful that you would want to share.1.5KViews1like0CommentsRe: How to enable new traceability matrix?
Hiafsilva The "New Traceability Matrix" is currently only available on the Zephyr for Jira cloud platform, it's not yet available for the server/Data center platform. I am assuming you are using the Z4J 6.0.1 on either server/dc platform of Jira.861Views0likes2CommentsRe: Switching Projects when Creating a Zephyr Test
Hi, The Create Issue dialog (both at the global and Project level) is a default dialog controlled by Jira, Zephyr doesn't have any control over how the dialog is displayed. Since at the global level there is no context of a Project you get multiple project options to choose from and since at the Project level you already are in context of a project, you can't choose any, from a Zephyr perspective we add the additional Zephyr specific field that are required. I hope this answers your query.769Views1like0CommentsRe: Zephyr (v5.6.3.56308814) is not working/incompatible with Jira v8.5.8
Hi Anuja, Looking at the screen shot its evident that the Zephyr is in the reindexing mode, there are 2 possibilities here Case1 - All nodes in the cluster is has this banne displayed, which means an indexing operation was explicitly triggered. Case 2 - One a single node has this banner and other nodes don't have this, which means this node is in a sync mode, it is trying to sync up the Zephyr indexes with the other nodes, this typically happens whenever you add a new node to the cluster or restart a node after a long interval of time the node which has come up will take time to copy over the delta data from the other nodes. If this is happening on a single node in a cluster, tehn remove the node from the load balancer so that no user traffic is routed to this node but it is still clustered. It will eventually come out of the maintenance mode once the sync process is completed, at which point you can add this node back to the load balancer. if the node does not come out of this re-indexing mode after waiting for a considerable amount of time (the sync time depends on the data volume to be be copied between the nodes) then please reach out the Zephyr support team who can work with you to identify and resolve the problem.1.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: In Jira Structures , we are unable to get the Zephyr for jira test execution status
Hi Structures for Jira is another app/plugin for Jira similar to Zephyr with a different functionality. We don't have any native integrations with Structure for Jira today. The reason we you were able to add the Tests was because "Test" is a standard Jira issue type that Structures can read by default, but Test Execution status or the Linked Defects are Zephyr Custom data which (not Jira Standard Data) Structures for Jira might not know how to read and display. There are API's available for Zephyr for Jira which expose this data. You would need to get in touch with Structures team to see if they can support display of Zephyr data in their application. All the info that the Structures team would need to do so or build this integration is already made available through API's that expose Zephyr data. Hope this info is helpful in reaching out to the right team to get your issue resolved.1.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: BDD support for JIRA server
Hi, The BDD feature is not yet available for Jira Server or the DC environment. It is currently only available for the Zephyr for Jira on the cloud platform. If you think this is a feature that is important to you and would want to see this implemented on Server/DC then you can help shape the roadmap of Zephyr for Jira Server/DC by submitting a support ticket with the request so that the product team can consider the same.1.3KViews0likes1Comment
