Re: Make it so you can view the value of a parameter when you hover over it.
The criteria is: Everytime you hover the mouse over a parameter (Such as anything marked with "${ }") a tooltip appears and shows the value of that parameter. Or some other easy and fast way to know the current value of a parameter. The current way which is to check raw data or check data sources could be improved because it takes quite a bit of time and a tooltip or some other method would be faster and more convenient.989Views0likes0CommentsRe: How do I verify that multiple values are all the same for an unknown amount of values?
Absolutely. Here's the way I did it in a groovy script assertion. First I retrieved the XML into an array and then looped through the array to verify each one. And that seems to be the problem with a regular Xpath assertion which is that I couldn't figure out how to loop through an unknown amount of values. import com.eviware.soapui.support.XmlHolder def holder = new XmlHolder(messageExchange.responseContentAsXml) def resultsArray = holder.getNodeValues("<XPATH GOES HERE>") //Loop array and verify what you need resultsArray .each{ assert "${it}" == "<insert assertion string>" }5 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.8KViews1like0CommentsRe: How do I verify that multiple values are all the same for an unknown amount of values?
Ok thanks! I actually found a way to do it using the XML holder. Using that you can get an array of values based on xpath and then loop through them all and verify.5 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.8KViews0likes2CommentsHow do I verify that multiple values are all the same for an unknown amount of values?
I have some XML and want to verify the name column all contain the same name. There may be 1 row or there may be 20 rows. There is no way to know how many there will be. How do I verify the name of all of them is "Joe"? Right now the Xpath is returning:[[ Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe , Joe ]] But I can't just put "Joe" in the expected result because it's expecting more than one sometimes. So how do I make it dynamic so that it checks for "Joe" for any number of values?Solved5 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2KViews0likes6Comments- 1.1KViews0likes2Comments
Re: How do I make SOAPUI save the custom properties after the run?
The solution smartbear pointed out is to go to the project level and set "Save properties between sessions" to true. I'm not sure why that option isn't available in the preferences section but at least it's not a bug.5 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.3KViews1like0CommentsRe: How do I make SOAPUI save the custom properties after the run?
I updated to the latest (2.8.2) and the custom properties are still being overwritten by previous values after a successful run. So the issue is still present where if I rerun a step it will not be re-executing the most recent attempt, it will always be executing based on old data instead of recent data. So frustrating.5 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.3KViews0likes1Comment
