Re: SoapUI 5.6.0 Cannot close windows
Random windows are now not closing. It seems if I use SoapUI for a short period of time and open multiple windows, then: "Close All" oftern does nothing Manually closing the windows sometimes does nothing at all Closing the window sometimes removes the content of the window but leaves the window in place. The only thing I can do is either minimize these "dead" windows or else interupt my workflow by closing SoapUI and restarting it. Since this makes using SoapUI a pain to use I've decided to revert back to 5.5.0.6.6KViews5likes1CommentRe: SoapUI 5.6.0 Cannot close windows
That's not really a solution. My issue is not so much the presence of the uncloseable start window as the fact that windows generally don't close and the UI is not responding to the most basic of commands. This is such a major regression that it makes me question the quality of the testing that went into a product used for testing. I question how 5.6.0 got past basic QA. Literally the first thing a new user would do is close the Startup window. And it doesn't work. What sort of first impression does this give for "The World's Most Popular API Testing Tool" ?6.8KViews5likes3CommentsSoapUI 5.6.0 Cannot close windows
I am running SoapUI 5.6.0 ( Build Date: 2020-07-09T20:35:07Z ) on a fully patched version of Windows 10. I am unable to close some windows. In particular, the "SoapUI Start Page" window can never be closed. Clicking the X at top-right simply clears the contents from the window. The menu item: Desktop -> Close All also appears to have no effect most of the time. Clicking this never closes the "SoapUI Start Page" and often doesn't close any open windows. Neither of these problems existed in version 5.5.06.8KViews5likes8CommentsRe: Best way to repeatedly invoke a WebService which takes JSON as the input?

Hi, I am trying to use SoapUI to repeatedly invoke a Web Service (which is a Test Step), but supply a different application/json as the media type each time. I do not know the best way to perform this, so my approach was: - Create a Groovy script which contains an array of JSON objects - Create a Test Step property. - Loop the array and in each loop: - set the property to be the current JSON object - call the Test Step which invokes the web service. The application/json of the Test Step has a reference to the property However this fails, because a property can only take a String and not take a JSON object. Am I approaching this problem incorrectly? Is there a better way to parameterise calling a Test Step? I considered invoking the Web Service directly from Groovy, but felt that the strengths of asserting an existing Test Step (with all of its assertions) was the correct way of doing this. If it helps, here is my Groovy script: def currTestCase = context.testCase; def ip = [ '[ "Id": "Setting1", "Level" : "2" ]', '[ "Id": "Setting2", "Level" : "3" ]' ]; ip.each { log.info( it ); currTestCase.setPropertyValue('myProp', it); testRunner.runTestStepByName( "Invoke User Setting") log.info(" iteration complete."); } // All tests complete. Hi, I am new to using Soap-UI and am probably overlooking something very obvious, but is it possible to search Soap-UI in any way? I would like to search the names of my Test Suites, Cases and Steps looking for certain words. We have a number of people who are modifying the single Test Configuration and I would like to be able to look for key words in the tests. If this is not possible is it possible to create a "report" of all of the Test Suites, Cases and Steps in human readable format? Thanks, Phil4.1KViews0likes2Comments
