SoapUI sending xml http payload in Unicode format instead of UTF-8 on Windows
There is a bug in SoapUI which is pretty old and I recently upgraded to 5.0.0 and hoped it would be fixed there but apparently not so here it goes. I believe the bug is the same explained herehttps://forum.soapui.org/viewtopic.php?t=22811 When performing a POST HTTP Request with an xml message as the request body containing the following message <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <request> <someTag>äöå</someTag> </requestt> After doing some snooping using wireshark I can see thatfrom a SoapUI in a Linux machine the 3 Characters come out as "c3a4c3b6c3a5" which is the correct however when performing the exact same request (Using the same project xml) from aSoapUI in a windows machine, the output is "a4f6a5" which looks like Unicode to me. This is very annoying as it makes testing from the windows machines impossible when having UTF-8 character payloads. Is there any chance we can have this fixed anytime soon?2KViews0likes1Comment[Reg] Variables not replaced in JMS messages?
I am playing around with Hermes and soapUI to try and send xml messages directly to an AMQ. I have managed to configure hermes and add a JSM endpoint in soapUI and send a message to the queue however all variables inside the XML come out as text rather than having them replaced with the actual values of the variables. I could not find a preference anywhere about variable replacement and since it is working fine on all my REST methods and testsuites I guess this is a bug on the product. Could anybody confirm? I was going to report this in a thread but since it already exists I thought I'd just add to it. Me (and a few colleagues) are also having the same issue. soapUI turns off Proxy settings on IE. Turning off so that it does not show the start page when starting the application does not help to solve it. It's quite an annoying bug since any internet browsing requires a proxy for us to be able to get through the companies firewall and most applications on windows are using system settings for proxy so working with soapUI sometimes results in all internet applications not working until you open IE and re-enable the proxy settings. Hope it is fixed soon. Regards ByteFlinger12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.4KViews0likes0Comments
