Re: Unable to check for updates now, because you are not connected to the internet
I just manually installed the latest TestComplete (v.011.20.1491.7) and I get the error "Unable to check for updates now, because you are not connected to the Internet". Is this still an outstanding issue?2.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Call to PerformClick method on Dotnet toolbar object stops execution.
I'm having a simlar issue. The PerformClickclicks the button on the toolstrip, but I cannotperform any actions on the modal window. Click and ClickItem produce "Object doesn't support this property or method". So far the PerformClick is the only thing thatclicks the button. Ideas? .Net app TC 11.06 This is my experiment: for (var idxButton = 0; idxButton <= numberButtons; idxButton++) { if(toolbar.Items.Item(idxButton).Name == buttonName) { Log.Message("index is ==> " + idxButton); Log.Message("button is " + toolbar.Items.Item(idxButton).Name); toolbar.Items.Item(idxButton).PerformClick(); //modal window opensand then stops resonding } } **edit** I've been pondering what Ryan and Tanyadiscussed on this topic and then light dawned! Imade the following adjustment and all was well. toolbar.Items.Item(idxButton).PerformClick(); Runner.CallObjectMethodAsync(toolbar.Items.Item(idxButton),"PerformClick");2.3KViews3likes0CommentsSuggestion for search results
Suggestion for search results: allow results to be sorted by last updated date, original post date allow searching within the results allow specific forums to be searched allow option to "widen" the search, such as a click to search entire site allow option to exclude specific terms (e.g. "apple" exclude "apple.com") Sometimes the results are so numerous, it becomes overwhelming.10 years agoPlace Community Off-TopicCommunity Off-Topic3.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Error Object does not exist - Why??
Hi Tanya, There is one ApplicationControlHost in the Aliases and one in the Mapped Objects, but there are two Objects in the Object Browser. The properities in Object Browser have the correct/expected values. My guess is that the mapped/alias doesn't know which one of the objects applies. The dilemma is how to make this work? I found a similar post (that you answered) and made sure I had the visible on screen properties set and changed the Refresh to RefreshMappingInfoand found success! Thanks for all of your persistence and help!1.3KViews1like0CommentsRe: Error Object does not exist - Why??
Thanks Tanya. I made the changes that you suggested, with a slight modification, and it still does not find the object. I also tried increasing the wait time. if (Aliases.Caselle.ClarityConsole.MdiClient.ApplicationControlHost.WaitAliasChild("BankView", 50000).Exists) bankLookup = Aliases.Caselle.ClarityConsole.MdiClient.ApplicationControlHost.BankView.navigationLookup.lookupValueTextBox; else Log.Error("Bank View was not found"); I don't know if this has an impact, but the application runs from a single .exe and this link uses a dynamic call to launch the other view. thanks for your help1.3KViews0likes0Comments
