Imported wsdl, requests do not look anything like samples given by service creator
I am attempting to generate service requests for use with a new "service provider". A state ageny has a system to accept state mandated goverment forms and provided a WSDL defining their various WCF services. I imported that into Ready API 1.3.1 and the resulting requests look nothing like the sample requests provided in the states documentation. Where can I find a description of whatever is required for me to generate requests for the states WCF services ?9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions713Views0likes0CommentsWhat chnages when an endpoint url changes ?
Thought I'd ask here because I SoapUI worked, and I cant fnid a clue elsewhere. I created a very simple test app as part of my effort to create a client service. I got both working with a test URL provided to us by an author of a webservice my software interacts with. We went through some qualification testing and they blessed our code and then gave us the live production URL. I just wanted to make sure we could use my simple test app to communicate with their production URL. My test app just sends a Ping command (it's one of 4 services their WSDL makes available). It worked fine with their test URL. I change the endpoint URL frmo the test URL to the pruction URL, and I get Ping Error: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Internal Error (I'll hopefully include the full error information below). I then run SoapUI 5.0.0 and the only thing I change is the endpoint URL for the Ping request. It worked the first time - no problems. So, it seems SoapUI must be doing something behind the scene that my code is not doing. I am not really sure what the problem is, so I don't know what to change. It seems this is confusing to others as well. Someone is apparently changing the "Schema Directory" to resolve this. A better worded dialog message might read "The path to the WSDL.EXE program must by going to File->Prefernces->Tools", or something like that.5.3KViews0likes0Comments.NET 2.0 wsdl.exe directory must be set in global preferences --ok, where is that ?
Not that I know what this would do, but anyways, I clicked on Tools->.NET 2.0 Artifacts, filled in some information in the Basic tab, and clicked Generate. I got an error dialog that stated ".NET 2.0 wsdl.exe directory must be set in global preferences". So, off I went to the File->Preferences menu. Global Properties ? Global Security Settings ? I am a user of Collaborator v8.4.8403 on a Win 7 64 bit machine, and am wondering if there is any way for me to have file information displayed somewhere on a review page ? For example, I'd like to see file size and checksum (crc32 ?) displayed for all files that are part of a review. I'd also be interested in a means of obtaining that information from a DOS command line. My thinking is that I might develop a batch file that would display the checksum of every file of a review, as it is on the review page, and in my local Windows PC hard drive. I can do all of that by downloading the last uploaded file, saving it my PC, running a checksum utility on each file, etc. Very time consuming, would like more of an automated process.
