TestComplete Keyword Test - Throw Warning instead of an Error?
Background: I'm using TestComplete and Bitbar to automate our mobile application using keyword tests. I have a login script that's being re-used and sometime its failing due to the mobile application loading longer than expected. I was wondering if there is a way to return a warning instead of an error?390Views1like2CommentsBitbar Mobile Automation - Keep connection alive for remote mobile device?
I've started a mobile automation project in Testcomplete using keyword scripting. However I've noticed that after an hour of run time, the remote mobile device gets disconnected. Is there anyway to keep the connection alive until the whole test suite has been completed?463Views0likes4CommentsRe: Bitbar Mobile Automation - Keep connection alive for remote mobile device?
Thanks for the ideaKB1, just wanted to confirmmore info in regards to the following: >> #1 Increase the timeout values for the connection: You can increase the timeout values for the connection between TestComplete and the remote mobile device in the project's options. This will prevent the connection from timing out prematurely. I would just like to kindly confirm if you meant the Options > Project Properties > Playback > Runtime? I've already updated this to longer intervals but the device still disconnects >>#2 Keep the device screen on: You can use the device's settings or an app like "Keep Screen On" to keep the device screen on during the test run. This will prevent the device from going into sleep mode and disconnecting. I've also ran the entire test suite while showing the mobile device screen and the bitbar mobile device still disconnect intermittently around and 45-60 mins >>3.Use a keep-alive method: You can use a keep-alive method such as sending a ping command to the device at regular intervals to prevent the connection from timing out. This can be implemented in your test script. I've tried searching for the community in regards to how to implement this but wasn't able to find any details, this is the only method I haven't tried and would like to kindly ask if you could share info on how to implement. Thanks!416Views0likes0CommentsTestComplete - Run Remote Device - Automatically select the latest uploaded .apk from Files Library?
I'm running my TestComplete scripts using Jenkins and planning to have it scheduled to trigger automatically when a new .apk build is uploaded by our developers. The project is being source controlled using Github. I would like to kindly know if there is a way to automatically select the latest uploaded .apk file from the Bitbar Files Library or do I have to push a commit every time there is a new build to manually select the device from the Run Remote Device?366Views0likes0CommentsTestComplete - Run Remote Device - Bitbar Storage
I've uploaded a tested application in TestComplete and made sure it was also uploaded in Bitbar. I checked for the tested application when I update the run remote device, the app in the Bitbar Storage doesn't display. Checking in Bitbar storage I could see the application uploaded as well in the Files Library May I kindly know how does the Files Library from Bitbar sync with the Bitbar Storage in TestComplete?Solved315Views1like1CommentRe: Testcomplete 15 & Bitbar Integration
Thank you for the replyMarsha_R, this is my first time using Test Complete and this was the version I've installed when trying to do a POC of our mobile application. May I kindly know if there is a recommended older version from the list we have in our license manager? The current TestComplete version I have is the 15.46.9. Thanks!594Views0likes1Comment
