Re: Generating a test execution Report - Test cases not executed over a period
or in the same screen (Filter by Custom query), you can add one more condition ("Result" in "Not Executed") will generate a report with all the test cases that were not executed and you can drill down to the test cases by clicking on the report. One thing to note though that this report will include only the test cases that were included in a test cycle. So if the test cases that are not there in the selected test cycle they will not be picked up in the report unfortunately.327Views0likes0CommentsRe: Relation Between Test Case and Bug
Hiecemkaniyilmaz, Unfortunately Zephyr Scale is not really that great in managing Defects. but there are couple of work arounds. 1: as suggested byMisterB 2: Generate a report (traceability report) and track the defect against the test case 3. Generate a Test execution results (summary) report, export to csv and then track the defect Hope that helps11 months agoPlace Zephyr Scale QuestionsZephyr Scale Questions359Views2likes0CommentsRe: Is it OK to run a trial of Zephyr Scale while using Zephyr Squad
I dont see any reason why you cant. They are essentially different plugins. Infact, I have done exactly the same in the past. Although you will not be able to interchange the data from Squad to Scale.11 months agoPlace Zephyr Scale QuestionsZephyr Scale Questions220Views1like0CommentsRe: ZephyrScale: How to re-execute the same test cases in a different sprint ?
Hi, It all depends on how you setup your test organization (Test cycles and plans particularly). Trying to understand your situation better. Assuming, the project has gone through several sprints and is currently in Sprint 10. Your requirement is that there are some test cases that you would like to run in Sprint 11 that were there in the previous Sprints. If I were in the above situation, I would create a separate test cycle for each sprint and have my test cases associated to the cycle. I would also include all those test cases that I would like to re-run in sprint11. When I commence my test execution for my sprint, I just run all the test cases. This helps me in multiple ways: 1. I do not have to Re run, I just run the test case for that particular Sprint 2. Since I am running a test case (previously run) independently for each test cycle, I do not have to select "Start a new execution" 3. I am not distorting the history of that test case 4. If a test case (that I am re running fails), I can trace back how many sprints it has passed / failed in the past (previous sprints) and helps the developers for root cause analysis based on the release notes. Hope that helps. Happy to take any more questions.11 months agoPlace Zephyr Scale QuestionsZephyr Scale Questions689Views1like0CommentsUnable to generate a requirements traceability from JIRA
We have been using Jira Cloud and have recently started using Zephyr Scale Jira Plugin to manage out Testing activities. All of our test cases are in Zephyr Scale while we have our requirements in JIRA. We have mapped all our test cases to the requirements. Now every test case in Zephyr Scale has at least one requirement associated. We would like to see the requirements coverage (in other words, we would like to get a report which requirements do not have a test case), but struggling to get the view. I am sure someone would have had similar issue. Is there any setting that we need to put in place to generate this report. Appreciate any assistance in this regard.12 months agoPlace Zephyr Scale QuestionsZephyr Scale Questions247Views0likes1CommentRe: How to activate zephyr scale by default on a jira ticket ?
I certainly hope that this feature gets picked up on the roadmap soon. This will certainly enable generating reports from JIRA<>Zephyr Scale. At the moment the traceability is one way (from Zephyr to JIRA) only. Currently, If I wish to generate requirements coverage report from JIRA to Zephyr Scale, because JIRA does not see the Zephyr Test case field until clicked, JIRA does not know the associated test cases.12 months agoPlace Zephyr Scale QuestionsZephyr Scale Questions330Views0likes0Comments- 411Views0likes0Comments
Re: Field width
Thanks Mate, Thats exactly I have done. Lot of weird ways the tool has been built. Also I notice recently, I cannot readjust the column fields, that I would like to see from left to right. Example. I would like the newly created custom field (Sprint) to be first column. The Configure Grid columns option where I can drag and position (fields) doesn't seem to be helping in doing this. Thanks once again. Mohana579Views0likes1Comment
