In Test Cycle , the test cases are not listed in random ord

I have a folder having some test cases.  They all are listed in alphabetical order there. Now when I am creating a test cycle and trying to add the same folder to my cycle, the test cases are listed...

    Thanks josh42 for the help but unfortunately API's aren't my area of expertise.  I am a little surprised by their logic and on top of it, there is no sorting option available at the test cycle level.
