Web tests to be executed on a Linux machine

Question

Hi,&nbsp;I will have to run some web tests on a client having Linux as SO and with Firefox browser.I would like surely to use the tests already developed within Test Complete.&nbsp;Is it possible to run web tests on a Linux machine? I've read some posts where you're talking about some external tools that could be integrated with Test Complete for this scope, but I do not understand if they works also for web tests.Can you give me some hints about this topic?&nbsp;Thanks and regards,Simona&nbsp;

There is mention of testing on Linux here.&nbsp; This is cross-platform testing in the cloud.

&gt;&nbsp;Web module license is not enough; it will be necessary the "CrossBrowserTesting"
As per&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/cross-platform/index.html#requirements,&nbsp;in TestComplete you will need&nbsp;Web Testing plugin with the Cross-Platform Web Testing sub-component been enabled.
Cross-platform web testing mode in TestComplete uses Selenium to drive tested web browser. So yes, you will need either a license for the cloud service (CrossBrowserTesting, BrowserStack, etc.) or to setup and maintain your local Selenium server (with optional Grid).

P.S. Note, that as cross-platform mode uses Selenium and its locators to locate tested web elements, your script code will require adoption - you will have to remove all native finds provided by TestComplete and replace them with corresponding locators in Selenium style.
To rephrase: old classic TestComplete web tests cannot be executed 'as-is' in the cross-platform mode. Hopefully, this will be improved in future versions of TestComplete.

Thanks&nbsp;Marsha_R&nbsp;and AlexKaras&nbsp;; I'm studying your information.So, if I'm understanding correctly, the Web module license is not enough; it will be necessary the "CrossBrowserTesting" that is a product completely different from Test Complete and it would require a separate license to buy (it is so?), or the alternative could be to use SeleniumGrid.&nbsp;Thanks!Simona
