soapUI Pro 4.6.0 java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

1. Just installed soapUi Pro 4.6.0

2.Getting the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when I try to start the soapUI Pro 4.6.0

3. Tried to increase the Xmz size as below -

-Xms1024m

-Xmx4096m

4. But now I get the JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size(-Xmx) might be too large ERROR.

5. Any way to get around this problem ?

Hi Ab28,

I would suggest that you consider moving to Ready! API. This product includes the improved version of SoapUI – SoapUI NG. As you have a license for SoapUI Pro, you should also have a license for Ready! API.

Please look at @TanyaYatskovska's advise. Just Out-Of-MemoryError does not help unless you specify more about the usage and stacktrace.

Yes we are using Ready API too - Thanks

Thank you for the stacktrace. What I mean by usage is that how big the project is ? how many projects in the workspace? some times even bad code might take to that error. How frequently the problem occurs?

Rao.

Ready! API loads up all the time.

SoapUI Pro 4.6.0 OR Soap UI Pro 4.5.1 have both FAILED to OPEN ever since I installed them yesterday.

Finally SOAP Pro works for me - after doing the following size

-Xms1024m

-Xmx2048m

Little surprised that you had problem with 4GB and resolved with 2GB.

Not surprising. I got the following Error when Xmx was 4096.

The maximum heap size(-Xmx) might be too large.
