SOAPUI - Proxy_vole dll running from User Profile

HI support team,

Our company has deployed SOAPUI to several end users via SCCM and we are experiencing an issue with WDAC blocking the Proxy_vole dll that is runs from the following path C:\Users\harrisd\AppData\Local\Temp unfortunately, we are not seeking to create a WDAC Allow policy  for user profile paths. Is there a way, the developers can assist with repackaging the software so the proxy_vole dll actually run from the either Programs or Program (86) folder?

EventView Log error:

Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files\SoapUI\bin\SoapUI-5.7.2.exe) attempted to load
\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\proxy_vole2237736447502994383.dll that did not meet the Enterprise
signing level requirements or violated code integrity policy (Policy ID:{a244370e-44c9-4c06-b551-f6016e563076}).
However, due to code integrity auditing policy, the image was allowed to load.

    Hi harrisd

Your issue with WDAC blocking the Proxy_vole DLL in SOAPUI, which runs from the user profile path.

You are looking for a way to repackage the software so that the Proxy_vole DLL runs from the Program Files or Program (x86) folder, which would avoid the WDAC blocking issue.

This is a common issue with applications that use dynamic code generation or load libraries from user-writable locations.

    Try the below options

Ø  Contact the SOAPUI developers and request that they modify the software to load the Proxy_vole DLL from a fixed location, such as the Program Files or Program (x86) folder.

Ø  2. If the developers cannot make this change, you can try using a tool like Squirrel or NSIS to repackage the SOAPUI installer and modify the installation path to include the Proxy_vole DLL in a trusted location.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!

    Warm regards
