External properties file

Hi,

I'm trying to load a external properties file to my test case.
I have already done the scripting part but i came up with a problem. I'm deploying this as a war file and if i give the absolute path it works without any problem but if i only give the file name it should go for the relative path correct? but isn't working.

For usability the file properties should be along the war file. For relative path where its starts? or where should i put the properties file?
