Re: trial to Pro license
Hello, Your trial license is valid for 14 days, it could be the case that it hasn't asked you for the license since the trial is still valid. Regardless, you should be able to input the PRO license by the update license function located in the help tab.12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions612Views0likes0CommentsRe: Which versions of soapUI Pro is my license valid for?
It depends on the format of your license file. We upgraded our licensing system a while back and our new set of licenses (in .key format) are valid for version 4.5 or newer. Our old style of licenses (in .lic format) are valid for all current versions.571Views0likes0CommentsRe: Cannot get Trial License for SoapUI Pro
Hello, Yes I can see why it would. The easiest solution I would say is to activate the license manually per computer. What I would do is to distribute each person their own license file and tell them to activate it in SoapUI. It's not particularly complicated and takes about 30 seconds each.12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Centralised Deployment not possible with new Licensing
Hiya Oli, The main reason for giving out a separate file per user is simply to make it easier for you. Having a single file with 20 activations would cause severe problems if even one of the users had issues. Say that user No. 8 had problems and activated twice that would mean that someone would be without a license. The quickest solution to this problem would probably be to reset the entire license. Having one license per users is a much more forgiving way of completing installing. If the licenses you've purchased are renewal licenses they require a previous license installed, otherwise they shouldn't. Renewal licenses function as time-adders, ie they need something to add time to.12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions594Views0likes0CommentsRe: Update Definitions
Hello, What exactly are you guys meaning by update definition? Perhaps you're looking to refactor your WSDL? In that case the below link should give you all the information you'd require. http://www.soapui.org/SOAP-and-WSDL/wsd ... oring.html12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Require Windows 7 Machine Specification for Load Testing
Hello, The minimum systems requirements can be found in the link below. http://www.soapui.org/About-SoapUI/syst ... ments.html However the rule of thumb here is the more - the better! Regarding the threads question I'm afraid there isn't an easy answer here. It all depends on what the threads are attempting to do. Given a delay between the threads due to settings or systems specs will affect the outcome of the load test. Almost any computer can theoretically do it but it might not give the result you're expecting. Having a good computer is always good but kind of hard to define.. But the rule of thumb applies! However if you're interested in load testing LoadUI is the way to go. There is a free version software available at our website. Hello, Yes this is possible but I would recommend that you'd be really careful when doing this! In your home folder there is a file called SoapUI-Settings.xml. You could just distribute this to your devs. What I mean by careful is that the file contains some linked file paths. If you wish for the file to be valid on every computer the setup has to be identical. For example lets say someone haven't installed SoapUI using the standard installation directory then the settings file won't be able to find anything.12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Whats the deal with the login functionality on this forum?
Hi all! Yes it's a pain in our back-sides as well! We're looking into it but unfortunately it's taking some time... Personally I'm right-clicking on some random function and opening it in a new tab and using that tab to log in. After login I close the tab, refreshing the first tab and then the user is authenticated for the second time and you won't get thrown back to the index page every time. Its quit effective once you've got the hang of it and if you're using every hot-key possible. Although it's kind of ridiculous that I need these extra steps..
