TestComplete Contractor
Hi folks, does anyone know of a good contracting agency or individual for a short-term project with experience using TestComplete, and TestExecute for CI testing with Jenkins? I've heard of Upwork,https://www.upwork.com/,has anybody used a freelancer from here before?449Views0likes1CommentRe: Specific Edge version not being recognized
I was going to do that but I need the Beta version on my machine to test against our in-house apps. I may have the Beta installed on another machine and not have it on my current machine where I script with TC. I was just hoping there was an easier way.665Views0likes1CommentRe: Specific Edge version not being recognized
Hey Marsha, Yeah I've gone through all of that as much as I could. Some things are out of our control, GP settings. It's been working great until v99 came along. Now when ever I script anything using v98 and then run it, it uses v99. Here's what I'm using, and this is the error. Browsers.Item(btEdge, "98.", 1).Navigate("https://mywebsite/");677Views0likes3Comments- 689Views0likes5Comments

Re: Edge version Issues
Hi Vinnie, I'm usingVersion: 15.31.374.7 x64. The browser does open, but then it fails to find the URL I used when I created the script. The only difference is the Edge version. I need to make a correction here, it's v98 and Beta 99. I created the scripts using v98 when it was in Beta and now with the latest Beta v99, the scripts are not working, just the browser opens, and then it Fails. Thanks for answering my call for help😁668Views0likes2CommentsEdge version Issues
Has anyone ever had issues with scripts created for one version of a browser and then not working with a newer version? I created some scripts using Edge v88, and now they're not running on v89. The browser does open but then I get "Unable to navigate to the https://mywebsite/ page". What's the magic needed to ignore the version differences? Or is there something else at play here?700Views0likes4CommentsTestComplete Best Practices
Hi folks, I was wondering if any of you have Best Practices that you follow for TestComplete and testing in general. Such as the Hierarchy or Logical Grouping of your folders, (Project_Suite > Project > Sub Project etc), and Regression testing, Name Mapping, Scripting, Keyword Tests, DDT, BDD, Version Control (SVN, Git) and anything else you might have created over time for Best Practices. We're basically creating a QA/QC dept. from the ground up and are looking for the voices of experience...and reason. Thank you in advance for all of your help.Solved1.7KViews0likes2Comments
