Find in a buffer only finds the first instance of a string and no more
Soapui pro 2.5 on osx 10.5.6. I'd like to find all instances of a specific string in a soapui response buffer. I can find the first. Successive finds of the same string after that do *not* find the other instances. This is reproducible on a second soapui client (same profile, different machine). Please advise. Currently I'm manually inspecting the response buffer element by element. I don't want to automate this (yet), I want to just inspect the results first. Please advise at your earliest convenience. Suppose I have a non-composite project, say foo-soapui-project.xml, that depends on two resources, say foo.wsdl and foo.xsd, both in ${projectDir}. Can soapui tell me the dependencies for foo-soapui-project.xml, so that if I give the project foo-soapui-project.xml to a colleague, I will also remember to give him/her the dependent files too. My guess is "no", but I'll ask anyways.1.1KViews0likes1CommentPersist the request/response pairs for a test suite run
I would like to persist the running of a test suite into a separate file or directory. In particular, I'd like to store the requests sent (after variable substitution) and responses received. Ideally, I don't want to write a groovy utility to do this. Can it be done? I couldn't see anything in the 2.5.1 documentation. Thanks.1.3KViews0likes1Commentsubversion/scc best practices
We currently have a small group of three creating test cases for a set of webservices. We've version controlled the (non-composite) project file, let's call it tests-soapui-project.xml. We have tests-soapui-project.xml under subversion control. Unfortunately, being a single monolithic file, we need to merge changes whenever one of us changes the project file, which we do on every commit to the subversion repository. If we botch the merge, then we corrupt the project file, moreover since we're merging at the .xml file level, it's not always clear what we're merging together. What are your "best practices" for having several people work on a single project? Please advise. Thanks.4.2KViews0likes10CommentsRe: soapui pro 2.5.1 plugin support
Thanks. Follow on questions: 1) there seem to be three variants of soapui: a) the soapui plugin 2.5 for an ide, e.g. idea, b) soapui opensource 2.5 and c) soapui pro 2.5. (I'm using the version number for concreteness.) Do they all use the *same* project file format (let's assume a noncomposite project file)? 2) If the file formats between the three are different, what happens if I load a pro project in (say) the plugin? Does it corrupt the file? Does the plugin barf? 3) In particular, according to http://www.soapui.org/features.html, both the oss and pro versions support TestSuites composed of TestCases composed of TestSteps. If the plugin opens a project created with pro, will it "see" the TestSuites and therefore be able to run them from within the IDE, like idea? Please advise.
