Re: Groovy compilation errors after switching from pro 2.0.2 to pro 2.5
Hi Ole, Just tried what you asked for and now everything works fine. No compilation errors. I'll move on to see if I can use the classes. Thanks. Ole, After the errors are displayed the soapUI log tells me the (10) classes are loaded (just as 2.0.2 does). The script library seting is pointing to the src root of the classes. I notice that in the classes I made the imports of other classes I need from the same or other packages are giving compilation errors. It is only when I am referencing my own classes the errors occur. Other imports work fine. Hi Ole, I am happy to be able to use Groovy. We couldn't do what we do at the moment without it. But, after downloading and using pro version 2.5 (at the moment nightly build 24-11) soapUI gives compiliation errors. It is unable to resolve classes where the Pro version 2.0.2 had no problems. The classes are not located at the default location. I keep the classes in a project in Eclipse right next to the project that implements the other side of the SOAP interface. Using Eclipse I keep versions of the classes in CVS. So the final location the classes are stored is something like: C:\eclipse3.2.1\workspace\ \src\ \ This set up gives me three advantages and worked well in 2.0.2: 1. CVS access. 2. Syntax sensitive editor. 3. All code kept together (tagging). I do not want to acces the soapUI functionality from Eclipse. I like the soapUI GUI as it is. Is there a new setting for Groovy to set with 2.5, am I missing something else or did I just find a bug? Hello Ole, It took me a while before I could return to this issue. Anyway, thanks for the support. I was able to save a fresh composite project. I'll now move on to my original project and see if I can convert that to a composite project. Ole, The nightly build fixed the NullPointer. Thanks. I still get errors when saving the project though. I have the Composite Project boolean set to TRUE. Upon save I get errors like this: Mon Nov 17 09:59:20 CET 2008:ERROR:Can not write file C:\Documents and Settings\Chess\Desktop\testCompositeProject-soapui-project\PaymentEngineSoapBinding\authenticate.xml soapUI does not seem to be able to create the XML files that are related to the different operations. The Composite File Structure is there, but no files are created. Marc.16 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes0CommentsNullPointer when creating Composite Project
Hi Ole, I get a NullPointer when creating a composite project from a freshly created project. Steps I made. - Create new workspace - Create project - Flip boolean project property Composite Project > Results in stack dump (available) Saving the project also gives problems. From soapUI.log (available): Mon Nov 17 09:57:47 CET 2008:ERROR:An error occured [java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException], see error log for details Mon Nov 17 09:59:20 CET 2008:ERROR:Can not write file C:\Documents and Settings\Chess\Desktop\testCompositeProject-soapui-project\PaymentEngineSoapBinding\authenticate.xml I would really love to use the composite projects feature but do not know whether I am doing something wrong or I just found a bug. Forget my rambling above. I should read what the windows says. I never did get the preferences of course. I needed to change them by hand. A suggestion. If a previous version of soapUI is present in the default location (\Program Files\eviware\*) isn't it possible the new version picks up the preferences automatically from the location the soapui-settings.xml file points at? Thank Ole, This morning I had some more time to investigate. I've got a work around for me for now. After starting up soapUI Cancel the Import settings window Upload the license in the next window Click OK on remaining windows On the Main soapUI screen click File > Switch Workspace Navigate to the correct XML file open it and start working Good luck, Marc.16 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes0Comments
