Formatting of XML changes message content when element starts with spaces
I have noticed that when I use the 'formal xml' option in soapUI 3.0 it will change the content within elements when they start / end with with space characters. For example, see XML below, the boo element has data ' abc' where the first and last character is a space. abc When the format xml option is applied to this XML you get as shown below but the spaces in the boo element has been removed abc Could you let me know if you think this is a bug or not ? At present, when you use a Soap Monitor and the destination web service is not running, a request sent from a client via the soap monitor does not show up in the monitor message window. It would be clearer if the request was shown and icon coloured to indicate that the message could not be sent to the destination. If you cant see the request you dont know if the destination is down, if the client has sent the request or if there is a network issue somewhere. Hi Ole, Can you confirm if you believe that this is a bug ? I have never been able to get the soap monitor working in any of 2.5 versions, Also is the source available for download for the latest builds ? Thanks, Richard6.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: SOAP Monitor as Tunnel Not Working - SSL On by Default ?
Hi Ole, I still get a problem having downloaded the latest build. The soapMonitor still says that its an SSL soap monitor but I dont thinks its using SSL this time. I have sent a message to a tunnel soap monotor which is configured to send the request to a local mock service. The message appears on the soap monitor screen but the raw reply is as follows. There are currently 1 running soapUI MockServices MPSSOAP MockService I know the mock service works as if i send directly to it I get a response. Mock Service URL - http://localhost:8089/mockMPSSOAP SOAP Monitor Port - 8082 SOAP Monitor URL - http://localhost:8089/mockMPSSOAP Request URL for msg to monitor - http://localhost:8082/mockMPSSOAP Any ideas ? I have soapUI 2.5 pro [Build dist-76-2008-11-21, Build Date 2008/11/21 12:00] and when I setup a soapMonitor as a proxy the messages received get displayed. When configured as a tunnel without SSL, no messages are displayed and when I use a soapUI to send a message to the monitor on the listening port I get a http 500 error with lots of mentions of SSL. I think that although I have not configured SSL for the monitor, SSL is being used. Further evidence of this in the top right hand corner when the monitor is displayed I see the text 'SSL Tunnel on Port 8070' Any ideas appreciated, Richard9.1KViews0likes7CommentsSoap Monitor Sending to Host & Port but not Endpoint
I am using soapUI 2.5 build daily-2008-12-11-[1], Build Date 2008/12/11 02:05 and have a problem with the soap monitor as a tunnel. I have copied the endpoint url from a soapUI 2.0.2 soapMonitor but when I test, the incoming messages get sent to the host and port rather than to the configured endpoint at the host and port.
