Re: how to add / remove xml nodes from soap request with groovy test step.
Hi, I am usingdata-driven approach to drive my test. My data is stored in excel file. I am using excel columns to pass data for different scenarios. As per my requirement, if I am encountering any perticular set of data then some nodes should be added to my soap request. Then after my scenario is run, I should remove my added nodes and move on to nxt scenario. Hi, Can anyone please suggest me how to move forward for below issue. Issue : I need to add / delete xml nodes from my base soap request as per my scenarios during run time. Description : Suppose my base soap request is consisting of 10 nodes and during my tets execution, as per my scenario, I need to add some supplementary nodes in the test request. So my new test request for that scenario is now consisting of 15 nodes. After the scenario is run successfull, I need to delete the newly added nodes and move on to next scenario. The next scenario can again have different set of nodes to be added to my base request. Can anyone please suggest any way out of this issue. Create CSV file from DataSink (subreport type) using Groovy script
Hi, We want to create CSV file using Groovy script from DatSink Subreport data. DataSInk's subreport has some data as shown below.. Now, we want to create CSV file form this Subreport after testcase execution is done using teardown groovy script. We do not wish to change DataSink report type to something else, i.e Excel or file. We want to use subreport datasink type and export it to CSV. HelloVallalarasu_P, Maybe I am not very clear in my issue. Appologies from my end. Actually I need to create groovy Test steps in my Test cases dynamically (on the go). The Test cases I am running now, do not have a perticular function, which is needed to execute. So I need to add a groovy Test Step to execute some groovy codes. I can manually add the groovy Test Step in each test case and run my test suite. But, manually adding test step is taking too much of my effort. So i was wondering that if I can a groovy code in my Startup script, which will in turn add groovy Test steps in all my Test cases. if this scenario is possible, then can someone please share how to achieve this. Hello, Is it possible to create groovy Test steps from Setup script for all underlying Test cases in a perticular test suite? I want to add a generic groovy code Test step in each Test case. If yes, can some one please share how we can achieve this. Thanks, SumitMSolved6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.7KViews0likes4CommentsGroovy Script for Data sink
Hi, can any one provide me a sample groovy script for Data sink building. I am not able to add headers in my CSV file and currently its capturing only data. Its becoming a bit troublesome for understanding the CSV data without headers. Hi, I am unable run my Groovy script from Jenkins. Jenkins Groovy script is unable to resolve imported classes. I have copied the Jar file in ..../<groovy home dir>/lib, ..../jre/lib, ..../<groovy home dir>/bin, ..../jdk/bin, ...../Jenkins/jre/lib and in ....Jenkins/jobs/<my job> folders. Nothing worked. I was able to import other jar files by copying it in .....\Jenkins\jre\lib folder. But, thisparticular jar is not recognized by Jenkin's Groovy script. And, I am able to run same codeusing IntelliJ tool using Groovy script, without making any changes. Sample Code: ------------ import SoapUITools.SUIT ServiceEndpoint = SUIT.GetServiceEndpoint("56", "73") // GetServiceEndpoint contains a call to Web service that is hosted on different system Syntax Error in Jenkins Groovy script: ------------------------ startup failed: Script1.groovy: 2: unable to resolve class SoapUITools.SUIT @ line 2, column 1. import SoapUITools.SUIT I tried, import SoapUITools.*, but did not work. Hi Radford, Thanks for the reply. Actually I need to create a Test run report after every test run. If I end up using "Groovy script Library" I am not sure if I can access all Test Suite properties there. My current situation is, I have a Test project having multiple Test Suite. I am passing Test suite name in command prompt for running selective test suite. My tear down script is at Test project level which creates the test exit report. But when I am not running the whole Test project and only selective test suites, the tear down script is not running. For overcome this issue I am trying to write the tear down script at Test Project Event level. If anyone can suggest any better approach then its highly appreciated.6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1KViews0likes0Comments
