soapui Pro 3.0 on Mac does not start
I tried running soapui pro 3.0 binary zip on Mac. I tried it when it was in beta and now that it is released. Everytime I run "sh soapui-pro.sh" it simply exits. Has anyone tried installing binary version of soapUI pro 3.0 on Mac? please help, Sachin1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: newbie: properties don't work + how to use Groovy scripts?
Hi Dom, In my post at http://onebyteatatime.wordpress.com/200 ... ks-part-2/ I have item # 3 in which I discuss how to do dynamic dates. I also have a link to soapui documentation that explains dynamic properties. Hope that helps. Sachin1KViews0likes0Commentsrunning testcase with a keystore (client certificate) from command line
Ole, I have my project configured to run a TestCase using pre-configured security for project having this test case and specifying keystore for this test case. This all works fine in GUI. But it does not work at command line. How to get this working at command line? thanks, -Sachin1.3KViews0likes0CommentsDynamically creating property key?
Ole, I have a Properties step with bunch of properties for e.g. 1=Excellent 2=Good 3=Ok Now I know I can retrieve these using context.expand( 'Properties#1' ) However, I want to make "1" dynamic. For example I do not know what to substitute after # sign only up until I reach that point of execution so in other words I want to have a variable that will take any number and that will be substituted after 'Properties#' above. I am not able to do this. I tried doing 'Properties#${variable}' but that does not work Also since I want to do this in assertion step, I am not able to access testRunner either, otherwise I would have done something like testRunner.testCase.tesSteps['Properties'].getPropertyValue(variable) Please help. Hi Ole, In a typical project one would test web services for, say 1. dev 2. qa 3. prod urls. What I would like to do is keep a urlPrefix variable at Project level. this can then be accessed via ${#Project#urlPrefix}. This way I can change this urlPrefix on project and point to either dev, qa or prod url. in my bindings I want to use this variable thereby I use syntax like ${#Project#urlPrefix}/service/myservice?wsdl in my binding defintion. But what happens is this reference to urlPrefix variable is retained only for first time. the next time I click on "update definition". the url shows the actual value of urlPrefix. This totally defeats the purpose of not having to change url specified in update definition text box. any idea how to resolve this? btw, don't know if you read in another thread but I have a new post http://onebyteatatime.wordpress.com/200 ... in-groovy/ Regards, Sachin1.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to abort a test case?
Ole, Hope you read my last post on this thread. I have added a link to my newer post on on datetime arithmatic in groovy. Btw, I tried the gui message flashing in soapUI. It works fine. However, the testRunner.cancel and testRunner.fail does not work. May be because I am trying to execute this in setupScript. Basically in my setup script I do some validations and if certain information is not present I don't want to proceed ahead executing that test case. For this type of scenario what method can I call on test case or any other object in order to not proceed with the test case? Thanks, -Sachin1.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to abort a test case?
yes, Ole. that is exactly what I was looking for. I sort of remembered that there is way to flash a UI message but this time could not find the example any place. Thanks a lot. btw, I have written a new post on finding if a date time is in a given time slot in groovy. though this post is groovy related, the logic did help me in my soapUI testing various times. here it is http://onebyteatatime.wordpress.com/200 ... in-groovy/ regards, Sachin1.2KViews0likes0Comments
