trigger and capture webhooks in ready api
I need to test a webhook payload and i'm not sure how to do it in ReadyAPI. The instructions I've founduseGitHub webhooks thathave to be triggered manuallyoutside of Ready API, and that seems to go against theidea of an automated test suite. In my scenario, I register for a webhook andI canuse an API to trigger the event. I don't see how I can create a test suite that will run a POST request to triggertheevent, while also running theVirtResponse test step to capture the webhook response. If I put thePOST first, the webhook has been triggered before the VirtResponse step has begun. If I put the VirtResponse step first, then it times out before moving on to the POST. What's the correct way to test webhook payloads in ReadyAPI? Hi, I would like to generate some random numbers, and then add the results together to use in a later test step, but I don't know how to do it. Scenario I have a basket and have added an item for 3 GBP and and item for 5 GBP. In the checkout test step, I will have to send the value 8 GBP to pay for the basket. At the moment all of these values are hard coded, but I would like to use a datagen step to randomise the item prices, and then have soapUI calculate the result to use in another teststep. Is this possible? Many thanks Amy7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions686Views0likes1Comment
