Make Soap UI compatible with Selenium 3.X
Soap UI 5.x versions are currently unusable from the last 2.x versions of selenium up to version 3.X. This is due to dependency mismatches in the http client which prevent inter-operability in the same JVM. Soap UI is a viable solutions for web testing with Selenium, we used it for many years in the past. Currently it is unusable. This is a very nice way to do web testing when it works, and many folks have asked about this.7.1KViews2likes3CommentsRe: Soap UI 5.3 doesnt work with Selenium 3.0.1 due to apache http jar version mismatch.
Hi, thanks for the response. It seems like a good idea to separate the jvms via the python script that then executes selenium. The downside is that you can not use the soapUI setup/teardown test suite scripts to do any real setup, since you are launching a new jvm each time2.1KViews0likes1CommentSoap UI 5.3 doesnt work with Selenium 3.0.1 due to apache http jar version mismatch.
Are there versions of Soap UI and Selenium that work together? I tried 5.3 and 3.0.1 but that did not work. The selenium version of http is much more recent that the Soap UI versions. Apparently this is an ongoing problem: https://community.smartbear.com/t5/SoapUI-Open-Source/SoapUI-5-0-0-and-Selenium-WebDriver-2-44-0/td-p/953532.2KViews0likes4Comments
