Re: Can you add expected and actual pictures to manual Log?
Hi Alex, thanks a lot for your reply. I have tried running the code you provided but it doesn't seem to be storing images in the log: But Region checkpoint seems to be working fine in this case: The only thing i'm not too happy with the region checkpoint is that it puts its own message saying the check passed which i can't remove . But it's an acceptable workaround. thanks a lot, Olga873Views0likes0CommentsRe: Can you add expected and actual pictures to manual Log?
@AlexKarasCould you please explaina little on the "message type" comment? Region checkpoint does allow you to compare images and i can put the tolerance very high so the check will always pass but the text on the checkpoint log is generic and i don't see how i can manipulate that. So where/how would i use the message type? Thanks a lot, Olga898Views0likes2CommentsRe: Can you add expected and actual pictures to manual Log?
That's what im trying to figure out. TestComplete does store expected/actual pics automatically in its autogenerated logs. I wonder if i could do the same with my logging. In its autogenerated logs it also doesnt compare those pictures - just stores them. Was hoping there was some way to do the same type of logging manually.2.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Can you add expected and actual pictures to manual Log?
Hi Marsha, sorry, probably the calculator screenshots were misleading... Itwas only used as anexample as i can't post the screenshots of our application. The idea is that we need to save the screenshot of some charts for later manual visual check. And we do compare the values behind the scenes but it is important for us to check that the chart is displayed correctly.2.7KViews0likes3CommentsCan you add expected and actual pictures to manual Log?
Hello, So Test Complete has a generic log of type "Event" that has expected and actual pictures (without actually comparing them). Like that: When i add my own log of type "Event" there is only 1 parameter for picture, so i get only 1 picture in the log: is there a wayfor your manual logs to looks like Test Complete autologs with expected and actual picture side by side (without TestComplete comparing those pics - just storing) ? What i'm trying to do is to add the step that gives you two pics side by side that can be reviewed after the run and compared manually. Our application uses dynamic data and I don't think TestComplete will be able to pass pic comparison - it has to be done manually. Thanks, OlgaSolved2.9KViews0likes13Comments
