Re: How to start x86 (32bit) Testcomplete version 12.40 via TestComplete 12 Test Item (VS Integration)
When opening.tc12Test you can choose Testcomplete or TestExecute. My question was where is the reference stored to Testcomplete or TestExecute in "Preferred Testrunner". It refers to the 64 bit now. How can I refer to the 32 bit version in "Preferred Testrunner" ?1.3KViews0likes0CommentsHow to start x86 (32bit) Testcomplete version 12.40 via TestComplete 12 Test Item (VS Integration)
We just updated our testcomplete to version 12.40 Because there are still bugs in the 64 bit (x64) version of Testcomplete we need to start the 32 bit versionvia TestComplete 12 Test Item (VS Integration). When you open the file with the extension .tc12Test it open a screen and you can choose "Preferred test runner" (with options Testcomplete or Testexecute). See the attachment "TestItem.jpg" When you click on "Edit Project...", it will start the 64 bit version of Testcomplete or TestExecute depending on the choice in "Preferred test runner". Does someone know how to by default start the 32 bit version of Testcomplete or Testexecute ?1.3KViews0likes2CommentsCentralized namemapping file shared by many Virtual machines
Hi, In my companywe have many virtual machines where Testcomplete are installed. Every machine tests different parts of the same application. Current situation: Every VM where Testcomplete is installed havehis ownlocal namemapping file. Every time when we encounter a new window or component that has not been mapped on the machine locally we have to map it where it is already namemapped on another machine locally. This is duplication of work. Desired situation: We want to have some centralized namemapping file/repository shared by many machine where Testcomplete . When one machine add or change a namemapping it can be updated on other machine. There are also some namemapping that is only intended to be mapped locally. Does someone know whether this is possible in Testcomplete or does someone has another solution as long as have a namemapping that is the same or synchronized over many machines and some namemapping for local only ?1.1KViews0likes3CommentsRe: General discussion: Should Keyword driven testing capabilities be upgraded?
==> you don't have the time /focus to work on coding issues, you just want to have a framework as easy and fast as possible.... Every company has a own unique set of applications and is in a different situation. Creating a framework tailored to your company needs almost always requires an investment. If your company doesn't want to invest in the framework then it is their choice. There are no default framework that suit everybody :) testing is very important but if you don't want to invest in your testing capabilities then I assume quality is not important for the company :)2.9KViews1like0Comments
