Re: TestComplete 12.5 - Problem with posting image to testlog
Hello, I am accessing the control like this: Set TestTool = Aliases.TestTool Set MyControl = TestTool.myControl Then I use a method like: MyLog.LogMessage("An error occured", pmHigher, "", MyControl) In this method I call the standard log function: sub LogMessage(message, priority, attributes, control) Dim MyImage MyImage = control.Picture Log.Error(message, priority, attributes, MyImage) End Sub I also get the error if I get the control by calling: Set MyControl = TestTool.WaitAliasChild("myControl")1.4KViews0likes3CommentsTestComplete 12.5 - Problem with posting image to testlog
Hello, I'm using Testcomplete 12.5 with vbScript. We had a function for writing log messages to the testlog, which gets a control as an argument and posts it in the Log.Error function as [picture] argument. In the object spy, it has a .Picture method. If I take the control by calling it with Aliases.controlName directly in the Log.Error function, it works. The error message I get by accessing the Err.description attribute is: "Could not convert variant of type (ByRef Variant) into type (Dispatch)" It worked in 12.4. Is there an error in TestComplete, or is there another way to post images of controls to the testlog? We have written a test framework with a lot of function, we are accessing Controls via variables all the time. Hello, since I upgraded to Testcomplete 12.3, sometimes when I click on the 'Safe' button in TestComplete, it crashes. There is no error message, TestComplete just closes. Is there a log where one could see why TestComplete crashed all of a sudden? I'm using Windows 10 Creators Update. Hello, without any changes to ObjectMapping, I dont get the needed attributes for TreeTableView I am getting for the TreeView control: When I add the said entries to my ObjectMapping, I get the following attributes for my treeTableObject: ObjectMapping: Thanks for your fast replies Christoph2.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: javaFX treetable view support
Hello sanjay, my problem is neither the treeview nor the table view, I think, both are supported just fine, although I did not test them entirely. My problem is the javaFx treetable view control: javafx.scene.control.TreeTableView (https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/javafx/api/javafx/scene/control/TreeTableView.html) Best regards Christoph2.4KViews0likes0CommentsjavaFX treetable view support
Hello. Our desktop application is using a javaFx treetable view control, but there is no support in testcomplete for it, it does not appear in the 'object mapping' for javaFx Objects. Is there a way to get control of a treetable view object, or a third party extension or something else I can do? I tried to add the class in the 'object mapping' as 'javafx.treeview' object, but that does not exactly do what I need. I need to iterate through the rows of the treetable view, but it seems the column index is not the same for the same column in the different rows. Hello, we have the same problem with our test suite. We are using VBScript as language in Testcomplete and are testing a WinForms application. There are many parts in our test functions where it might be possible that a message box opens, depending on the input to the tested application (error messages etc.). In Testcomplete 12 I always get that object recognition hint, and it is clear the object can not be recognised, because it does not exist. Is there a way to avoid this warning? Maybe there is a better way to check if a window appeared or not? Best regards5.2KViews1like3Comments
