Re: Impact of TestComplete on Network?
I can close this question. TestComplete did not have an impact on the network connectivity. The problem was due to a timing issue on application startup which only ever manifested itself when starting using TestComplete simply because TestComplete executed the startup steps in a quicker succession than me if I did it manually.935Views1like0CommentsImpact of TestComplete on Network?
I am testing two applications running on the same PC, talking to each other via broadcast messages (Active MQ, JMS) and web services (SOAP via HTTP). I am just a tester, the exact internal workings of the applications are unknown to me. Whenever TestComplete 10.60 is running (I have no other versions since I am a new user) the communication between the two applications does not fully work with some communication always failing while others always work. When TestComplete is not running then everything always works. Hence my question: Which impact could TestComplete have on network communication? What types of communication could it block/prevent/confuse? It's kind of a bummer that I cannot test while my test tool is running :(Solved961Views0likes1CommentRe: JavaFX: Scrolling in ListView
Ok, I have found the solution. In the project properties under Open Applications => JavaFX I had to add all relevant classes to the object hierarchy, then the scroll bar and it's sub-components get picked up properly and actions are recorded.3.3KViews1like0CommentsJavaFX: Scrolling in ListView
Hi everyone, I am building keyword tests for a JavaFX application using TC 10.60.3387.7. I am trying to scroll to the end of a ListView in order to check the last element. When recording the test the scrolling is not recorded, no matter if I do it by dragging the scroll bar or by using the mouse wheel on the list view or on the scroll bar. I noticed that the scroll bar of the ListView is called 'virtualscrollbar' in the mapping. I added the class to the Scroll bar section in Object Mapping but that did not create a change. By manually insertingthe 'On-Screen Action' MouseWheel into the test I can make the scroll bar scroll, but always by the same increment, no matter which paramter values are passed. Currently the only way I have found to scroll to the bottom is to execute the On-Screen Action in a Loop several times. Any hints? Hi everyone, I am building keyword tests for a JavaFX application. On one page of my application I have an overview of items displayed in a ListView. Above the ListView is a check box allowing the user to also view historic entries. If the check box is checked then at the end of the list some additional items appear, the first of which contains a headline in a named lable. If I record a test then the lable might be found like this: Aliases.Item.stage.scene.listViewLogEntryList.listviewitemcell3.lableHeadline My problem now is that the named lable does not always have to be in 'listviewitemcell3'. It could be in any cell with any number. How can I check for the existance of a label with a certain name in a keyword test and somehow turn this into a checkpoint? Ican probably use 'Find Object' to find the label as a child of the ListView could use an 'If ... Then' but that would still not be a check point? Or should I be using some kind of script in this case? Or is there a way to use wildcards in the Alias so that I can eliminate the cell level from the matching process?
