Re: Just Updated to TC 10.40 -- Can No Longer Open Manual Tests
Without ActiveX and Manual testing support this product is no longer of any use to our company. We would be forced into legacy use of 10.30 until which time we found a replacement solution from some other provider. Every test we have written for every product uses ActiveX dictionaries as containers for our objects. The idea that this sort of decision can be made in a vacuum without prior warning (or requests for feedback) does not bode well for any future support.3.6KViews3likes0Commentsmsxml6.dll access is denied
The line: var VersionXML = Sys["OleObject"]("Msxml2.DOMDocument.6.0"); will fail with an error that says: msxml6.dll access is denied How do I work around this? I am attempting to read data from an XML file written by our application during the test run.8KViews0likes3CommentsWriteLine error: File too large?
We have found recently that our test scripts will crash with a JScript runtime error of "Failed to open the file. Possible reason: the file is too large." when writting a custom logfile via the WriteLine method. At the time of the crash the file has an overall length of 616,223 and 9,849 lines. Is there a maximum file size associated with aqTextFile? If so, is there some other method or strategy I can use?9.7KViews0likes1Comment[Log.Picture] Method in which to limit the number of images stored?
Is there any method outside of writting a customevent forOnLogPicture that will limit the number of screenshots taken by Log.Picture? Specifically I want to be able to set a limit of the number of screenshots taken (say 100) where it will overwrite older screenshots once the limit is reached.11KViews0likes3Comments[TestComplete9.20] Excessive memory size of tested applications
We are testing an application that often forces .Net garbage collection and we found that when we are using TC9 automated testing scripts that many of the popup objects are beingheld onto by TC9 via the .NET property ControlAccessibleObject. This was verified by a side by side comparison of automated test (TC9) and manual testing. This is causing our application to balloon to over 3 times itsnormal memory footprint. Is there any setting or coding strategyI can do to help resolve this?10KViews0likes1Comment
