Re: COM64Helper DLL
Thanks for the reply Alex, my previous description was a little inaccurate. I am trying to use a 64bit out of process COM object from TestComplete (which is obviously 32 bit). The knowledge article i linked to was a workaround for in process COM objects, so as expected failed to work for me. So the question is: Is there a way to access out of process 64 bit COM objects from TestComplete? Thanks, Mark.689Views0likes0CommentsCOM64Helper DLL
We need to register theCOM64Helper DLLon our test machines in order to use a 64 bit COM object from Test Complete. However the DLL will not register on my Windows 10 test machines (not tried any other OS). Anyone know the dependencies? I have VS redist 2005-2015 installed x86 and x64. https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/63975/?FullScreen=1&ShowTree=0 Thanks! Mark731Views0likes2CommentsRe: Open File .txt Script (VBScript)
If you want to smply check that the contents of the file are what you expect then you can add the file to your stores container in your test project and use the various methods of comparison available - Files.Compare() comes to mind. If you want to store the text of the file in memory and do something with it then you will need to have a look at the references for the FileSystemObject I mentioned earlier. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa242706(v=vs.60).aspx or http://www.w3schools.com/asp/asp_ref_filesystem.asp3KViews1like0Comments- 538Views0likes0Comments
Re: Main sending through scripts using CDO is not working
I use a similar script on several of my test machines to send test result emails, and they all work fine. I would suggest adding err.number and err.description to your watch list and then step through your code. Also check that you have theCDO components installed on the machine with the problem.916Views0likes0Comments
