Passing an On Screen Object to a Script or Keyword test routine
Hello We have several windows that have a combo on them and they are loaded the same way. i would like to create a routine that i send in the window, and the combo box , and how to get to the window and do checkpoints on them. but when calling this routine TC waits for the window name because it is in the parameter list. is there anyway to get around this? Thanks5.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: unable to connect to the datasource
the file was not read only but on the properties of the file it had the file is ready for archiving checked as well as the allow the file to be indexed. i cleard those check boxes and it worked again. i am not sure why those would have an affect but they seem to be working propery now1.1KViews0likes0Commentsunable to connect to the datasource
We have a data driven loop that is using a CSV File that will get the message "unable to connect to the datasource" on certian machines, but not on all machines. Any Idea on what to look for? on the machine that gets the error you can double click data driven loop line in the value column and view the file.24KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Test Execute Export Log
Jared i have tried that but the object never gets set. what am i doing wrong? the tests it is running are keyword tests the getobjectby name mentioned something about it will not return anything unless the test is running scripts Remarks The method returns the program object only if TestComplete is running script routines. If the script code is not running, the method returns an empty Variant value. here is what i have tried. the suite opens correctly and the test runs correctly Dim ObjLog As Object = Nothing Try Call WriteLog(LogFile, "Running test") TestCompleteObject.Integration.RunProject(TestProject) ObjLog = TestCompleteObject.Integration.GetObjectByName("Log") Catch ex As Exception TestCompleteObject.Quit() Call WriteLog(LogFile, "Error: " & ex.Message.ToString) End Try ' do not move on until test is finished running Do Until TestCompleteObject.Integration.IsRunning = False Application.DoEvents() Loop Dim LogFileName As String = "C:\ExportLog\Test.mht" ObjLog.SaveResultsAs(LogFileName, 2) 'lsMHT) ObjLog = Nothing Call WriteLog(LogFile, "Finished Running test") Select Case TestCompleteObject.Integration.GetLastResultDescription.Status Case TC_LOG_STATUS.lsOk Passed = True Case Else Passed = False End Select Thanks Lynn1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: TestComplete (Code Editor) is slow
