Re: How do I downgrade from TC10.4 to TC 10.3?
Hi Tanya, thanks for the quick response. I didn't save a backup of the 10.3 project (shame on me). Since there was a change between the previos versions of NM format (4 to 5), I wasn't able to access objects by their Aliases name. The problem occured working with another program that parses the NM, and not on TC itself. I think it's solved for now. Thanks :)1.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Get the current installed version -C#
Thank you Sivan :) I was actually searching for the C# code and way to do so from VisualStudio and not from TC (althogh it's nice to know it's available from there too). Eventually I found a way, not a neat one though... DirectoryInfo latestDir = new DirectoryInfo(tcDirs[0]); // a loop search for the newest directory.... string tcFileFullName = latestDir.FullName + "\\bin\\TestComplete.exe"; FileVersionInfo tcFile = FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(tcFileFullName); return tcFile.FileVersion.ToString(); Thanks again for your answer859Views1like0CommentsGet the current installed version -C#
Hi there, I am looking for a way to save in a variable (with C#) the value of the current TestComplete version installed on the machine. I noticed the Registry containes only folders with the names 10.0 or 9.0 and I prefer to get the full number (10.30 / 9.31 /...). Is there a way - with or without registry access? Thanks :)1.4KViews0likes2Comments- 933Views0likes0Comments
Upgrading 9.2 to 9.3
Hi there, I have a floating license of 9.2 and I would like to upgrade to 9.3. I allready did it a few times before, and I remember you had a great manual explains this process. Now I can't find it since all the manual refers to TC 10 version. Do you still have the old 9.x guide? Thank you :)Solved1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: iOS objects are not exist at the "Object Browser"
Thank you both for the helpful videos and guides. I wasn't sure if the object recognition depends on the app's settings at the MAC, but since it does matter, I will let you know how it worked after I'll have an access to the MAC. Thanks, Mor1.2KViews0likes0CommentsiOS objects are not exist at the "Object Browser"
Hi there. I am trying to test an iOS app with TC 10.3. I connected 2 different iPhones (7.1.2 & 7.0.6)to the PC, but none of them is displayed at the Object Browser. I follow the instructions on the tutorial (http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/63807/), but since I didn't get my MAC yet, I first tried to check the objects recognition before adding the devices to the app Provisioning Profile. Is it really necesarry starting this process with the MAC definitions? Does the object recognition depend on the app provisioning profile? Thanks.1.9KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Flex objects and Chrome browser
Hi again. Since my previous message I already upgraded to TC10.3. I installed all the debugger extensions and changed the plugin setttings as described in the manual. Most of he tested app is HTML so the chrome handles it well. When it comes to the Flex part, it gets stuck almost immediately. The Flex objects are recognised, but when an app-popup occours, for example, TC doesn't recognize it on the run-time. It gets recognized only when I stop the test and refresh the object browser manually. On my test I used both Refresh and RefreshMappingInfo on all the popus, it didn't help. Is there another magic way to do so? Further info: Browser = Chrome 36 TC = 10.30 Tests type = KDT FlexDebugger = version 14 Thanks.1.2KViews0likes0Comments
