Re: [CodeReviewer] Unable to get the licence key of CodeReviewer
This "solution" does not work for me, or many others judging from the subsequent posts. Error: None of the licenses in the list were associated with this server's Node ID. is displayed when changing the Company Key to reviewer-free and clicking "Save" My company currently uses TestComplete and would probably eventually buy Collaborator, but we want to try CodeReviewer first toevaluate the process. This issue is preventing me from evaluating the product. I have also tried adding -Dhttp.proxyHost=*our proxy service host* -Dhttp.proxyPort=*our proxy service port* -Dhttp.proxySet=true to the ccollab-server.vmoptions file as the server machine uses a proxy for internet access. Results are exactly the same. After further investigation with v 11.2 I found it extremely cumbersome to work with the QTreeView control. Recording tests did not work very well. Instead of selecting items by name e.g. "rootname|nodename|leafname", only clicks at co-ordinate points weresaved when interacting with the control. I have ended up using Squish for Qt to test the application as we already have licences in my company for that product. I find it inferior to TestComplete with repect to test management but it works out-of-the-box with QTreeView and items can be referred toby name. I am not new to TestComplete but have never tested C++ Qt applications using it, only C++/MFC projects. I have an application developed using Qt 5.4.2 which I need to test. Two of the major user interface components are implemented as QTreeView controls. I see documentation about QTreeWidget support but nothing about QtreeView support except forhttp://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/26146/ That links to an article using Qt 4.7 and relies upon the control having a "CurrentIndex" property. I cant see that property when I inspect myobjects. I have inserted "QTreeView" into the Object Mapping of my project under QTreeWidget but this doesn't help. Am I wasting my time trying to interrogate these controls in TestComplete? Cheers, Chris1.4KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Just Updated to TC 10.40 -- Can No Longer Open Manual Tests
I received a reply to the issue I raised with Tech Support. They confirmed that "Manual Tests" have discontinued support. They supplied me with URL's to download the "Manual Testing" extension for 10.40 TestComplete and 10.40 TestExecute. I have tried them and they appear to work from initial use, though their use is unsupported. I think Smartbear are protecting access to the downloads so I will not post the URL's in the forum. Interested parties can raise a Tech Support ticket to get the files. Cheers, Chris4.3KViews4likes0CommentsRe: Just Updated to TC 10.40 -- Can No Longer Open Manual Tests
Not great customer service to remove features without warning. This sometimes happens in a major update with plenty of notice given, but its the first time in 35 years I've ever experienced it happen to any product in a minor update. I had to revert to 10.30 today as I use manual tests extensively. Our software interfaces with the hardware we design so I use manual tests to give instructions on changing the hardware configuration before running a test item. I suppose I could popup the information in message boxes and wait for the tester to press OK but the manual testing was a nice feature in my opinion. Very much a retrograde step by SmartBear!
