aqEnvironment RebootandContinue is not Rebooting
Hello, I've created a scheduled task to run my project suite every night, but my virtual machine locks up after 15 minutes of inactivity and requires a username and password to get back in. I've disabled the screensaver, but it still locks. I'm using the below function in an attempt to log into my virtual machine to kick off automation. The logoff works and everything closes, but it never logs back into the machine. I've also tried to convert my project suite to a network suite b/c this will allow me to run nightly automation and connect to a virtual machine, but I keep getting prompted that the project variables I have do not exist. I have a Ton of automation already and don't want to change everything.Any idea what is wrong with the script or another way to do this? function Reboot() { aqEnvironment["RebootAndContinue"]("Run.StartSuite", Project["Variables"]["Password"], Project["Variables"]["Username"], Project["Variables"]["Domain"]); } Thanks, Richard23KViews0likes2CommentsHow to select Variable from drop down list if it displays differently
I saved a ten digit code to a variable from one screen it is saved as a datetimestamp using this code which displays as"0228093259" function UniqueValue() { var unique; var StartPos = 0; var sLength = 4; var Result unique = aqConvert.DateTimeToFormatStr(aqDateTime.Now(), "%Y%m%d%H%M%S"); //Log.Message(unique); Result = aqString["Remove"]( unique, StartPos, sLength ); //Log.Message(Result); Project["Variables"]["UniqueValue"]=Result } I am now trying to select that variable from a drop down list on other screens, but it appears in the drop down list as "0228093259 / 19.999%" or "0228093259 / Description" and it is failing to select. I'm using the below looping structure to loop through the drop down list until it finds the variable: var Index; var Counter; var FoundInd; var Row; Counter = Aliases["Allied_UniTrac"]["HwndSource_MainWindowPage"]["MainWindowPage"]["mainDockPanel"]["Grid"]["Workspace"]["Grid"]["Grid"]["appTabControl"]["Frame"]["CarrierProductPage"]["grdMain"]["ctlNewDataEntry"]["Grid"]["ScrollViewer"]["StackPanel"]["grdBasic"]["GroupBox1"]["StackPanel"]["StackPanel"]["cboIssueProcedures"]["wItemCount"]; Index = 0; while (Index!=Counter) { Row = Aliases["Allied_UniTrac"]["HwndSource_MainWindowPage"]["MainWindowPage"]["mainDockPanel"]["Grid"]["Workspace"]["Grid"]["Grid"]["appTabControl"]["Frame"]["CarrierProductPage"]["grdMain"]["ctlNewDataEntry"]["Grid"]["ScrollViewer"]["StackPanel"]["grdBasic"]["GroupBox1"]["StackPanel"]["StackPanel"]["cboIssueProcedures"]["Items"]["Item"](Index); if (Row["Code"]!= (ProjectSuite["Variables"]["IssueProcID"])) Index++; else {FoundInd = Index Index = Counter;} } Aliases["Allied_UniTrac"]["HwndSource_MainWindowPage"]["MainWindowPage"]["mainDockPanel"]["Grid"]["Workspace"]["Grid"]["Grid"]["appTabControl"]["Frame"]["CarrierProductPage"]["grdMain"]["ctlNewDataEntry"]["Grid"]["ScrollViewer"]["StackPanel"]["grdBasic"]["GroupBox1"]["StackPanel"]["StackPanel"]["cboIssueProcedures"]["ClickItem"](FoundInd); } Any idea how to make this work? Thank you! That worked. The user that was set to login was under the system domain instead of the machine domain. So I changed it from "Domain\User" to "TestMachine\User" and now it kicks off and sees the GUI.759Views0likes0CommentsIssue getting Scheduled Task to run Project Suite on VM or Remote Desktop
Hello, I have set up a scheduled task to kick off our project suite ever night at 4am as it is taking too long for me to manually kick it off during the day. The Task Scheduler is set to run from this location: "C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestComplete 8\Bin\TestComplete.exe" "C:\TestComplete\TestSuite.pjs" /r /e /silentmode When the task kicks off I can see that the task manager is running Test Complete as well as the tested application but can't see anything happening (it looks like it's alloccurringin the background). I have to end the processes to get them to stop because they never close. I also do not see any logs to tell me what happened, but I know that it is not working b/c I do not see any test data in the tested application. I have tried this on Remote Desktop as well as Virtual Machine and get the same result. Any help on this would be appreciated? Thank you, Richard21KViews0likes2CommentsHTTPS image attachment
The site we are load testing has changed from http to https. Previously we had been able to record the attachment of a 49kb image and play it back successfully. Since the site changed to https we are able to record the attachment of a 49kb image from a form, but when we play it back it gets to the image and spins and never completes. We are using TestComplete v8.6. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.8.6KViews0likes2CommentsWeb Browser Closes When Trying to Record or Use Object Spy
I just updated to Test Complete version 8.6.0.665.7 from 8.5 and noticed that my web browser closes when I try to record or use the object spy. I am not sure if this is related to version 8.6 or has always been like that. I've tried this with Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.622KViews0likes1CommentWeb Browser Closes When Trying to Record or Use Object Spy
