Re: can we use TestComplete Distributed Testing to perform small-scale load testing, e.g. ~5-10 clients?
Thanks, Colin, for the response. We're testing a business-process-management type web app, and so we have automation test scripts representing multiple user workflows that are performed via the web app. It seems that the load test software out there doesn't really handle user traffic that's representative of "full workflows/sequences of message transactions", and that's why was wondering if this approach was possible. Thanks again.2.1KViews0likes3Comments- 1KViews0likes0Comments
"Project file name" property missing in Task Editor?
Hello, I'm running TestComplete version 9.10.2030.7. I'm attempting to set up a distributed test. On the help page for jobs->task editor "Editing Task Properties", it describes the "Project file name" property/field, which is defined to be "the TestComplete project containing the test that the task will run". However, in the actual TestComplete editor, there is no such property/field available. The only properties/fields available are: Active, Name, Host, Host timeout, Copy remote log, Action after run, Tag, Test, Use previous instance, and Remote application. Why is the task editor seemingly missingthe Project file name property; and how doI access it from the editor? Thanks, RobSolved2.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Java Sys.Process object ID change
thanks for the response Ryan. I only see one popup so i'm not sure why testcomplete is thinking there are duplicates... hmm. also, I'm still kind of a beginner with testcomplete and jscript. How in the jscript code could i handle for this case where in some cases it's: Sys.Process("java")... and in other cases it's Sys.Process("java", 2)...? Thanks.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsJava Sys.Process object ID change
Hello, I initially identified, via TestComplete ObjectSpy, a Java Security Warning popup as: Sys.Process("java").SwingObject("JDialog", "Security Warning", -1, 1).SwingObject("JRootPane", "", 0)... I would then use this "object ID" in my script to process this object. However, in recent runs, the object ID has changed to: Sys.Process("java", 2).SwingObject("JDialog", "Security Warning", -1, 1).SwingObject("JRootPane", "", 0)... Why did this change, and how do I handle this variation in my JScript code? Thanks in advance for your help, RobertSolved3.3KViews0likes4Comments
