Re: Ignore: "The window is disabled. The action cannot be executed."
hi and thanks for your answer, i tried to do smt like that. But we use a very own GUI, we just load some native C-Objects an than start to load our very unique GUI. So that when the nativ C-Objects ready, the load process just begin. ;) But i will try about this for a while. Regards Robert1.6KViews0likes0CommentsIgnore: "The window is disabled. Hello @all, my script sometimes waiting al longtime till a process is done and a new interaction is again possible. In this "idle"-time the script fires some Keys() to check the programs staus. But it gets the error "The window is disabled. The action cannot be executed." back. Turn off all errors in optionspage solves my problem, but its to much i think. Is there a more accurate way to jump over this message? thanks und regards Robert20KViews0likes2CommentsThe forums-search on the website dont work!
Sorry dont find a better place for this matter. The search on your website dont work für the forum. If you input for example "global" in the searchinput upper right corner of this page and filter the results for 'Forums' you get no hits. I also would appreciate if we can serach defined single/multi-forums, because iam only interessted in hits about the testcomplete software. Thank you in advance :) Robert24KViews0likes1CommentRe: Help needed! GlobalVariables in 2 units didnt work
Hi @ All for me, now I find a way.. I modifiy the MVC Pattern from regular programming into TC-Programming and call it chained-moduleprinciple. In the construction includes every Unit the next logical Unit and the last unit is the config unit therefore all global variables are now accessible from every script. When you give all units logical names you got a tiny nice mvc patternstyle logic. I named my units this way: Start -> MainFunctions -> Functions -> Config (Every unit includes the next to its right ) greets Robert488Views0likes0CommentsHelp needed! GlobalVariables in 2 units didnt work
Hi, I have 2 script units (jscript) and try to use the GlobVariables in both, but it didnt work. I read all helptopics about useunit, runner and related but dont get it. My setup: //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // MainUnit // var settingA = setting for A '; var settingB = 'setting for B'; //USEUNIT SubFunctionsUnit function mainloop() { Log.Message ( 'MainLoop' + settingA ); subfnct( settingB ); } //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // SubFunctionsUnit // function subfnct( settingB ) { Log.Message ( 'subfnct SA:' + settingA ); Log.Message ( 'subfnct SB:' + settingB ); } You see, there are two functions. The MainUnit where i setup all my glob variables and with mainloop() where i control all sub functions to keep track of the scripts process and not get disturbed by all the small action-functions who doing things. But in subfnct() in another script i can not access to settingA. Hope anyone can help me use global variables :( Best Regards Robert23KViews0likes1CommentRe: TC - freeze at startup
Hi Mike, i can not imagine what program in my shell extensions is liable for the problem. I would be glad, if you can give me some points/informations/kind of programs what can be the problem. As i looked in the CLSID tree with regedit I see a unusualness with a TC-knot: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{{FAE26353-8623-406F-880B-0F52C84D16E8}}] You see, it contains two curly brackets. I edit it to one bracket, but it changes nothing with my problem. So i export you my complete CLSID tree and use the freeware "ShellExView" to export all entrys from this tree in a txt-file (217 entrys). Can you please help me with this informations to eliminate the most likely programms from this list? best regards Robert1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: TC - freeze at startup
Hi Mike, tank you for your quick answer. I did the steps to create dumps like in this post you provide and try to upload it in the form "Send a New Support Request", but it say Iam not registered, so i attached the dmp to this forum thread here. Hope it helps me, i can do nothing with TC :-/ Greets Robert1.1KViews0likes0CommentsTC - freeze at startup

Hi there, I am starting with TC (great tool btw My Program is coming up with some dialogs after processes they need different times to work (load a project, render a Audio/Video file, etc.). In the end or with complications in the process itself. And i want to delay till the moment when one of this messages boxes come up. The problem is, we use an own concept of drawing the gui. We use mfc but just a little bit, the most parts of the gui we build by ourselves. In this case TC "Object Browser" don't know the names of internal dialogs and i have to solve it other ways. To get the dialogs yet, i want to try to count the child-processes of my program and end up the delay process when the count of process is increasing. My questions are: 1) is that the best way to solve it? 2) is using FindAllChildren('*','') the best in this way? ..8hours i try it this way. But the problem is that FindAllChildren() or FindChild() didn't find anything. Also the example with MS-Notepad http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/12740 came back with "The Object was not found". :-/ thanks Robert20KViews0likes1Comment
