Access Violation when profile XE4 and XE5 Win32 application
I am using a trial version of AQTime 8.10.772.7 on Windows 8.1 x64. I build a very simple VCL Win32 application and try to launch it from AQTime using Performance Profiler. I also turn off "Use extended debugger for managed code". I encounrter these errors and the profiling application doesn't start: First chance exception 0xC0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at 0x30896A37, read of address 0x03180000 at 0x30896A37 (in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\AQtime 8\Bin\Extensions\aqNatProf.dll) 336 09:39:22:102 Second chance exception 0xC0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at 0x30896A37, read of address 0x03180000 at 0x30896A37 (in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\AQtime 8\Bin\Extensions\aqNatProf.dll) 336 09:39:22:200 Thank you.11 years agoPlace AQtime QuestionsAQtime Questions5.2KViews0likes1CommentCan performance profiler profile vcl source?
I am using Delphi 2007 / XE with AQTime 6. I wrote a test application that create few TButton instances. I have turn on necessary compiling and linking switches to make it work with AQTime. When I attempt to run the application in AQTime with performance profiler, the VCL / RTL classes aren't show in profiling. Can AQTime performance profile VCL / RTL classes?13 years agoPlace AQtime QuestionsAQtime Questions11KViews0likes1CommentHang when profile Delphi XE application compiled / linked separate .TDS file
I am using AQTime 6.21.400.86 in Windows 7 x64. I create a simple Delphi XE Win32 application. The application was compiled and linked with "Debug Information" and "Place debug information in separate TDS file". I then try to profile the application with AQTime. Once run the application in AQTime, the application will hang and Windows prompt a dialog with the message: "Project1.exe has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". If the debug information is linked with .exe file, then I may profile the application smoothly. Any ideas what could cause the problem? Thank you. Best Regards, Chee Yang, Chau13 years agoPlace AQtime QuestionsAQtime Questions11KViews0likes2Comments
