Re: Does anybody use Keyword Tests?
Keyword tests can be useful for anyone who isn't too familiar with scripting (as mentioned above). I think it can also be used to create a more temporary sort of test, gives you less control but is created quicker -- not prone to much UI change as far as I know. It may also be useful for creating a bug for Jira if you find your current test too long to post to jira, just create a keyword test for that segment... For the most part, I use scripts to try to handle changes to UI and for more controll2.4KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Temporarily override the “Stop on error” option
I'm not sure if I totally understood this and the answer above solves it... But, you can right click your project then go to Edit | Properties, naviagate to playback and uncheck "Stop on error". Then if you want to stop your script in an if else, you can useRunner.halt(). Hopes this helps!820Views0likes0CommentsRe: Flex- Cannot click the item that is not visible in the dropdown list
Hmm, so you're saying it's too far off the screen and not yet visible? Do you know the css selectors on that particular item? You could usequerySelector if you know that item has a particular id... Would be roughly the same page = Sys.Browser("*").Page(whateverurl or just use "*"); result = page.querySelector("#objectid"); result.click(); I'm not sure how the simulation of clicking the object will work if it's not on the page though... Let me know if this helps at all2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Flex- Cannot click the item that is not visible in the dropdown list
I would use theFind Method. Something like this.. var currPage, obj; currPage = Sys.Browser("*").Page("*"); //Or whatever the page URL and browser are obj = currPage.Find("ContentText", "sampletext", 50); //Give it a big depth to search the page. **EDIT** Make sure that you find and click the drop down menu first, so the object is visible first. obj.Click();2.1KViews0likes0Comments
