Hi, Collaborator does not support "Microsoft Word Track Changes" feature. The reason behind that, is that "TrackChanges" is dynamic format, and it interfereswith Collaborator formats. Werecommend that you turn off track changes in Microsoft Word before you upload the document into Collaborator. Please let us know if you have any further questions. The easiest way to change authentication options is to re-run the installer again. There's no need to uninstall, just run the installer over the existing installation. From there, you can choose "LDAP Authentication" when asked and provide your LDAP credentials.963Views0likes0Comments- 969Views0likes1Comment
Re: Client GUI - upload only files that have changed since last upload
Hi, Thank you for your post. I am not sure what SCM you are using but I will explain how "upload changes" works in Collaborator. When you upload changes, Collaborator communicates with the SCM to get the last changes against last commit. We upload the list of changed files against last commit. If you do a second round of changes without a commit, then you try to upload changes, collaborator gui will still display list of all changes against the last commit (not against the previous changes). The only visual difference you will see after the upload. When you open the review in the Web UI, you will see in the "Material Section"\ "Status" column, the number of upload. (number rounded with an arrow) 0 for first upload, 1 for second upload and so on. So technically, uploading all the changed files won't affect the review because we exclude them automatically for the user. If you are looking for separating those last changed files in a separate changeset/changelist in the Web UI, that can be resolved on the SCM side. When Collabroator is configured with LDAP authentication, by default, the "Create New User" functions is disabled. So when a user logs in for the first time, a user account is created for them automatically in Collaborator to store their user preferences. But sometimes, the admin wants to control this process and manually create each user account instead. To enable the "Create New User" function. 1. Stop the Collaborator service (the service name is ccollab-server) 2. Edit <collaborator-install-directory>\tomcat\conf\catalina\localhost\ROOT.xml Note: I recommend you store a backup of the file before any changes. 3. Find the following line: <Parameter description="Is the Code Collaborator database used for authentication?" name="collaborator-authentication" override="false" value="false"/> 4. Change value from false to true. 5. Save the file. 6. Start Collaborator service. Note: 1. Make sure that the folder locahost has just one ROOT.xml and any other backup files end by .bak extension. 2. Collaborator will not automatically create accounts when users login so the admin must create user accounts manually. 3- You can create users using Collaborator command line utility and run a batch file to create all the users at once, refer to our user manual to find more about the command line commands. 4- You will need to set the setting admin\General Setting\ "Global Create User - to hide. this will hide the "Create User" button from the main login screen for all users.
